Sorry the reason why the Lady Vols loss this game is because of their inability to stop teams for shooting uncontested 3s. This is the same reason they loss the UConn game and a few others. I don't know if it is a scheme thing or they are not equipped personnel wise to do so.

Are guards are just not playing at level we need. Horston was only guard who can be counted on, more bad passes, late or miss gets to Key cost her 2 fouls. There is no excuse for constantly having to call someone to throw in the ball, this late in season, and too many trips when no shooter, got a decent touch, Darby, Key, Dye, Rae and no good looks. Too much standing around, worried about saving the enviable, guard getting trapped. Guard dribbling right up into 3 players in the key, and can't, see, find, or pass to any of the 4 on two players. Really upsetting to see us so confused, and unable to guard the 3, or execute a offense. Miles is a future star, she should have been starting mid season

Exactly. Same ppl always say if Howard leaves KY is done so as their coach.

Didn't play her well enough but Dye cancelled her out. The loss came because of all the other players making several open threes. We didn't extend the defense and I really have no answer why. SC is extending way out and Kentucky is 1 of 6 from three all have been contested except the one they made.

They are also face guarding Howard for most of the shot clock and making her work hard when she has the ball. We didn't do any of that and you have to.

A review of your posts shows not one positive post about the LV's this season. Not one. All of them negative and complaining, and uber critical. This team got to the semis of the SEC tourney and finished 3d in the conference. It will likely get a home court advantage for the first two games of the NCAAT. It has won 23 games so far this year. And out of all that you couldn't find one positive or constructive thing to say? You are the classic nega-vol, a member of the legions of the miserable.

Athletically SC Guards much better than Walker and Darby. Both give there All for us but neither are Championship level. Good role players off bench but right now where we are as Team without Horston. In CHRIST Alone

Yes, we did lose a couple of players due to injury. What remained did not play well at all. Kentucky players wanted that game more than our players and that were a success too. Elzy is a great coach and one of the best defensive coaches to ever play at Tennessee.

The more you open your trap, the more you prove how little you know about what you speak. The reason Howard didn’t go to Tennessee is because she wasn’t offered a scholarship! You obviously need to educate yourself before coming on here and demonstrating what a feckless buffoon you are.

Totally agree but we still should've extended and if they got beat on a drive two points is less than three. we'll have to upgrade those positions to get to where we want to be.

True but you still have to put who you have on her and let their assignment be to stay with her the best they can and do nothing else on defense. Somebody like Wynn, or Dye is about all we have that could slow her down. She didn't destroy us that is her normal game. She was not the reason we lost.

Not having Jordy is the reason we lost. She eats up rebounds, and in her abscence last night the blue meanies has a feast on the offensive boards. They had 16 second chance points. We don't usually let that happen.

I agree she is a huge loss as is Green were not near the same team we were with them. The committee is not punishing us for that and are taking in what we did all season. That is the only positive that has come out of the tough stretch we've had to play without them.

Horston is a nightmare for anyone she defends against. She's the only one on our team who can stay with a player like Rhyne athletically.

They play terrible weak defense. Kentucky whipped us from start to finish. We have to learn to win the big tough games. We need more good shooters and passers. But I do believe Jolly will eventually turn us around. We just got to rise to a more consistent level against top competition. GBO!

Has no bearing on our game. Kentucky shot well again. Doesn’t excuse Tennessee play, we got to win against the top competition to win championships. We were sloppy last night, takes nothing from Kentucky playing hard. Unless you think we played good last night. GBO!

We could have played better but we are down an allSEC first teamer and our sixth man and ran into an obviously hot team.
This thread is the embarrassment!
