Kentucky lost again

Well, that was a cherry of top of the day
That's what I said 😎
We beat Vandy to get our revenge and the cherry on top of the day will be Kentucky losing to Texas tonight.
I made a post very similar post about Arkansas and us getting our revenge on Flordia after we lost to KY at home.
Hopefully the universe restores balance once more!

I’ll be honest, some of the glow has faded from this thread for me after losing to them twice this season. Their losses to average teams makes our losses to them seem even worse. JMO
Agree. I’m watching them go down to these other teams and look nothing like they do when they play us and just think “how did that happen TWICE”!

They clearly reserve a level for us that they can't muster against other foes. Vanderbilt for that matter too.

The glow always comes back. I’m really hoping for a curb stomping by auburn at rupp.

I do understand where you’re coming from, I didn’t look at sports for 3 whole days I was so pissed off after that last loss to them

They’re the two worst losses we’ve had to date IMO. I’m not getting much joy out of them losing other games except knowing it KILLS their fan base.

These other teams have taken a groundbreaking approach to defense against Kentucky that we haven't. They are actually guarding the three point line. For some reason we seem to do this against everybody but them.

Not if you notice they happened to shoot ridiculously well against up. We may go the rest of our lives and never see Kentucky shoot 50 from the floor and from 3 in back to back games against us.
When they have been losing to these "lesser" teams they are shooting a lot more closer to their average.
No to mention we happened to shoot very bad.
You get those two in a combination and it explains the losses.
Even so, anytime I know those arrogant and entitled KY fans are sulking from a loss it is worthy of celebration. 😎

With a 30 year experience married into a full scale UK alumni family, I can pretty much tell you they will gladly trade all their losses so far this year for the two wins over Tennessee. Their hatred for Tennessee is up there with Repubs hatred of Democrats.

It's been real strong the last several years. It's really envy. Deep down they are jealous of our success under Barnes. Tennessee should be flattered that they get so hyped up over beating us, and that joy is becasue they don't really expect to beat us anymore.
They haven't been out of the first round of the tournament in so long they are completely starving for that feeling of a successful season.
Beating Tennessee twice this year will be the highlight of their season. I say let them have their moment, we got bigger fish to fry like fighting for a #1 seed.

And they hate Louisville more than they hate Tennessee.

It does kill those wakadoodles. They've had a built-in excuse for any possible game loss the last several games and for the next few, tho.
They lose a game it's all because of injury. If they happen to win it's because Pope is a genius and they're so talented they can overcome being shorthanded.
I can't believe they choked that Texas game away. We had two starters out when we played Florida, so I don't want to hear excuses. Pope not having them instructed to foul at the end of that game wasn't a good look for him. His line-up choices were/ are sus, too.
Even when they were completely healthy they were having crap the bed games. I think there is a reason he never has never won a NCAAT game. They probably drop down to at min a 5 seed. I could see Pope and Kentucky continuing their tradition of being happy to just make it to the dance.

I will always take the utmost pleasure in seeing them lose. I don't care who beats them.
Probably got more pleasure coming your way. They may not get Robinson or Butler back anytime soon. If this season at all.
They keep whining about bad luck and the basketball gods hating them, but it has never dawned on them that when you don't properly prepare yourself physically for the season, injuries happen. This isn't the first season for injuries for Kentucky. They need to get some better strength and conditioning to their program and get guys tougher. Trying to play physical when you're not in shape for it probably is not going to work out very good for you.
Personnally, I hope they keep ignoring it and focusing on nothing but shooting 3's.
They'll win some games they probably not supposed to but they'll never really be a threat in terms of Conference play or tournament time.

Mark Pope knows one of Cal's undoings with the fanbase was his inability to consistently beat Rick Barnes. IIRC, Cal has a losing record against Rick. Nothing bothers Kentucky fans more than us beating them in basketball.

Pope knows if he gets back to beating Tennessee then he will get more forgiveness for the other lapses... for now. We were the target this year.
