Kentucky lost again

Not sure what's crazier how bad Kentucky is at defense...or that Ole Miss let them cut a 27 point lead to single digits at one point
This is just how this Kentucky team is. If you let their offense get going they will take the game over. Ole Miss probably let off the gas just a little and that's all it took. If you lock in defensively for 40 minutes you have them because they want defend you. Let up and you can be in trouble fast.

At one point I was fixing to say something in this thread about the people celebrating a loss before the game had ended, but then I remembered Kentucky has no defense and all Ole Miss had to do was decide to start making their shots again.
To be fair, that was exactly the situation we were in against UK and we opted to just not make any more shots 🤷‍♂️

What I was talking about had nothing to do with their fans putting up their noses. I was describing my experience at a UK game versus any other venue I’ve been to. There is something special about it and it has to be experienced first hand. It felt more like going to church than even going to church. That experience might change with the things you’ve mentioned but as far as basketball is concerned I don’t think Kentucky will be left behind. On a side note, there is a reason we have a “Lost Again” thread for Kentucky and nobody else.

Weird take, I sat on the visitor bench in Rupp when Tubby was still coaching and they were coming off a 30+ win season where they made the elite eight. I didn't think it felt like church at all, the arena felt cramped to me. And very tight with vertical seating. Fans were into it for a bit, but once the game was in hand they bailed faster than the church crowd trying to be first at the local Mexican restaurant...so maybe if that's what ya meant then yeah I'd agree.

It was a cool arena though. Same year was also in the pit for a game at Memorial...

So far (and I haven't been to every arena) my favorite is still TBA. Rupp was a fun experience though, just felt dated. Memorial felt like a big hotel AAU tournament venue.

I was there for a Tennessee game and it was their Senior night, I swear they had grown men crying as their seniors were introduced for the last time.

The reason we have a " Kentucky lost" thread is because they have been our biggest in conference basket rivals for many years. You ask any Kentucky fan how bad they hate losing to Tennessee and it will confirm this. Other than maybe Louisville, they'd rather lose to anyone but us. They feeling is mutual. Even if they are crappy for ten straight years, we'd still probably have this thread. They make threads about us ALL the time, so they don't necessarily need a single one.
They may continue to be our biggest rival just because of history, but the days of them being able to pretend their above other programs in the SEC ( or country for that matter) are over.
Like I said, things have changed.
I don't know what you mean " will (not) by left behind",
but what I was saying is they will not be dominant year after year anymore.
They have a really big fan base, so I wasn't saying they are going to go into obscurity or something.
Their fan base is the worst. The level of arrogance is unprecedented. The only other fan base I’ve experienced that’s even close is Ohio State football.

I think the one thing Kentucky fans refuse to acknowledge is that they’re no longer the only SEC school invested in basketball. And it’s starting to expose some flaws in their program. They’ve fallen behind the curve a bit in facilities and they don’t have very good in-state talent. Now their status as a blue blood does allow them to recruit nationally, but that 5 star player in Alabama that they used to get all the time now can stay at home with Bama or Auburn and win. Chaz Lanier took less than half the money UK offered to come to UT. Prior to Barnes that never would’ve happened.
