How in the hell does Kensucky keep getting 5* recruits based on their recent performance?

It isn't based on their recent performance. It's based on the name, "Kentucky", and the reputation of John Calipari funneling players to the NBA.

Calipari needs to change the narrative and soon. It's ok to state your goal is to get players to the NBA as long as you can compete at high levels. But that isn't what Kentucky is doing, they aren't competing. They're mediocre to good team. The NBA isn't playing you Cal, you better start working for the entity paying you.
