Kentucky, Ole Miss both look great.

I couldn't be happier with this win, they had a big distraction early in the week and a dynamic playmaker on offense suspended - still able to hand 40+ on HBC.

Got a commitment from **** CB Jordan Griffin after the game

***** RB Damion Harris was at the game...not a bad one to take in...

So you are saying you'd have beaten Oklahoma? And/or will win against Georgia?

Florida is obviously out of the picture...

Not my argument, but not OU- I think that we give Georgia a game but after seeing Mike Davis last night, Gurley will look like a freaken superman.

We'd go 3-2 with losses @ UGA and OU. I think we'd win if we had gotten UF at home.

Yes obviously since we've both played Florida and we both lost. Both by questionable situations as well. So you can if, if, if until your heart's content, but it doesn't change the fact Florida stands in the L column for you as well as us.

So in the picture...

I thought we were playing hypothetical with flipped schedules?

You're saying UK doesn't do any better at home against UF? And you're saying UT does any better with how they played vs UF? Come on now.

What if it to death, idgaf. Here's what I do know, after this weeks distractions, the ridiculous fumble recovery that wasnt called, being gashed by the run game multiple times and falling behind over n over again, Kentucky teams of the past would have folded.

We fought through it last night and competed. Doesn't mean we'll see it again all season, but last night was a glimpse into the future. Whether we are ready to play this way consistently I do not know, but I'll take a W anytime I can get one, and last night we flat out manned up n won a ballgame.

The thing is SoCar ran all over you as you did them. If SoCar runs and never throws a pass in the 4th they win.
I don't think UGA makes the same mistake.

You are getting way to technical with this discussion. Flip the teams and regardless of home or away, you will have a hard time with Gurley just like we did (and everyone else for that matter) and have the same losses we've had so far.

You can what if it all day long, but the fact remains, we both lost to Florida on questionable game clock situations. If their kicker been moved back another five yards like he should have, he might not have hit the FG. If the refs called the game clock violation in your game, you would have won. But they both are in the past.

You'd be 5-0 and we'd be 3-2 or even 4-1 if Worley hadn't gone out in the 3rd against UGA. If, if, if.

Will ky keep this guy or will he bolt for a more traditional football power?
I think Vandy lost franklin because of no fan support. That shouldn't be a problem for ky. But ky is not the easiest play to recruit to.

They'll pay him big money, they gave him and his whole staff a nice raise after a 2-10 season last year. Neil Brown is the first to go IMO

Not to mention fla takes KY more seriously if ky has already played tougher comp.

The only difference between Kentucky and Tennessee right now is that we have a pretty good defense and they have a pretty good offense.

I think that gives us a slight edge when they come to Neyland this year, especially if Pearson and Smith are completely healthy by then.

In my mind it all comes down to ability to recruit and weather stoops see ky as a destination job.

So you know I have ties to ky threw my mother so we pull for them when not playing Tenn.

If they pay him 4-4.5M/yr why would he leave? He is the only SEC school in Ohio, low pressure job where 7-5 won't get you run out of town.

If he gets paid, you may be right. Isn't UK renovating Commonwealth and building a new training facility? Add that to the fact that the East is awful, and Stoops may be sittin' pretty up there.

Yep. Winning makes it easier to recruit. Cats have gotten firm commits from 3 4-stars in the wake of last night's game.

Recruiting is a ? that remains to be answered. We have more talent on both sides of the ball, simultaneously, than I can remember so that's something.

Fan support is always there and to be honest, I think UK fans crave a fball program that is equal to the bball program.

CM Newton was a bball guy that didn't care about football. Barnhart wanted to be the big name in athletics IMO. That yielded billy Clyde and joker. Money talks and got tired of the BS Barnhart was pulling, that's why the Cal and Stoops hires took place outside of his realm of control.

I knew about Cal but wasn't aware about Stoops. What is your understanding of what happened?

I just thought Tim Couch and a crew basically handled it all. I don't think it was as extreme as Cals case but for Barnhart to make the hire independently is nothing that I can begin to fathom.

I could be completely off-base

If Jones loses to Kentucky(Stoops being hired at the same time), then he should be fired immediately following the game.

May as well start the coaching search now, because it'll happen. I'll take bets on it now.

How much you lose on today's game, C-Lowe?
