Kentucky post game thoughts.

Barnes has few options and needs to make changes with personnel and frankly how he handles players. I’m a Barnes fan but he is beginning to lose me these last two years. He may be better recruiting 4 year guys, let them develop and mature and build teams that way, but in this day and age of the transfer portal, is this even possible?

We shoot 53% fg and 48% from 3 and get clobbered.... Probably the best statistical from KY in the last 20 years. Most of their prayers were even answered. Just glad that coach put some of the young guys in for real minutes. Not cashing it in for this season, but maybe we need to go with the youth movement and bring in some of our starters off the bench. Fulky might work his way into the best 6th man we have. BHH looked like with some more real minutes he could be a factor by tourney time.

Odd day all the way around. Go look at live stats... Heck they even went 20-21 from the foul line.

We will get to see what they are made of in the next few games. Probably find out what our faithful are made of earlier....

Come on...decent player at times??? He's been our best and most consistent player. He has his limitations, sure, but that's a pretty harsh criticism for the guy who has practically carried this team across the first half of the season.
No kidding. If Vescovi wasn’t on this roster we’d struggle to break 30 most nights

This team is so disappointing. We looked so good early and have sunk steadily. These guys need to get their butts in gear and it’s totally up to them!! Meanwhile they are hard to watch right now‼️

The team has checked out IMO. Not sure they can turn it around. The NCAA tournament isn't a sure thing. We could lose to anyone on the schedule. Don't see us beating anyone in the top half of the conference. I'm a big Barnes fan but this team is Bad. Time for him to earn that paycheck.

IMO, Vescovi is our best player - and it isn’t even close.
Vescovi is one of the least appreciated players in a UT roster I can remember. He got serious grief last year because he isn’t a quick, nor a pure PG, yet when Barnes moved Keon and Springer moreso in that role we actually played worse. He was what he was, and still was our best option. This year he has clearly improved (partial because he gets to play a more natural role next to Chandler) and anyone who doesn’t see it is blind. He is a solid defender and frankly a better defender than our other guards except maybe Ziegler.

JJJ was one of our best players on the floor, today. I swear some of you just take your own impressions and throw them out there without any idea of whether they are statistically or even perceptually accurate.
That’s the thing that really kills me. JJJ will have a solid game like today and then turn in 2-3 terrible performances.🤷‍♂️
GBO!!

This is absurdly reactionary... even by the standards of this forum.

It's January 15th. Thanks to some top-heavy scheduling, in our first 5 SEC games, we have already played 3 of the best 4 teams in the conference on the road (@Alabama, LSU and @Kentucky). Get a grip. The scheduling will level out over the next two months.

I don't have much analysis other than saying that ORN, Fulky, and James on the court together is a problem for offense.

Lol. They're playing like crap and have been since conference play. They just suffered the worst beat down in God knows how long. It was a complete and utter embarrassment. We'll see if they recover but I have doubts.

1. That sucked ass.
2. Bench Fulky
3. Play BHH.
4. That's it
On the radio broadcast, Bob asked Bert if they should look at the film on this game. Bert said no. Don’t even look at it and move on to the next game. Running from your problems isn’t the answer. That’s terrible advice. They need to see just how terrible they played. Very few good fundamentals on display.

Vescovi and JJJ are clearly our most consistent players and provide what leadership they can. I would have thought Fulky would have been the team leader this season but he seems to have checked out. Hate that.
