Kentucky vs. North Carolina Thread

Am I the only one that's noticed all of the fouls the refs are allowing Kentucky to commit? If anyone remembers all the blocks Varnado was given in the SEC championship that were actually fouls, this is the exact same thing only with a bunch of steals that are fouls as well.

Kentucky does look good, I'll give them that. I just think the refs are letting them get away with murder on defense.

i prefer games to be called this way- as long as they re consistent on both sides

Doesn't look consistent to me. North Carolina has one more foul and Kentucky has fouled way more than them from what I've seen. Their fouls just haven't been called. Everytime North Carolina gets the ball in the paint, Kentucky hacks the crap out of them and the refs give them a steal.

The officiating is fine.

I thought Wall was going to try and tear the rim off, but Ginyard didn't let him.

And what was North Carolina's player doing their after that turnover? With the way the game is going, I send a message and hammer Wall. Not to injure him but to show him you're not going to go easy on him when he is flying down court.

To be fair, you are a Kentucky fan.

We're all entitled to our own opinions and maybe I'm exaggerating. It just looks bias to me. Which isn't surprising considering they are playing at Rupp.

Kentucky fouled North Carolina three times in a row and North Carolina didn't get foul until the third one. That's what I'm talking about.... How can getting hit in the arms while dunking not be a foul?

That should have been a foul. No doubt.

But Carolina has been playing horrible, and not playing any transition defense. I have 2 or 3 calls that should have went against UK.

Nice 3 by Pat though.

Besides, I'm not getting into the whole officiating/referee discussion. I have seen us raped at TBA multiple times in the past. lol Its a part of the game.

No argument there. I just think North Carolina has gotten fouled a few times under the basket and instead of getting the foul, it leads to an easy break away for Kentucky. That's getting kicked in the groin twice. What could be a pair of free throws or at the very least maintaining possession leads to points the other way.

Kentucky fans shouldn't complain about refs... the worst I've ever seen for Kentucky is the refs calling an even game. Other then that, they favor Kentucky.

Also, I have no idea what you're talking about. I honestly think you made the part about being raped at TBA up. The refs didn't even help Tennessee against the Bucs. Why would they favor UT against Kentucky?

UK vs. UT at TBA, 1993 season. (Mashburn senior year, the game might have actually been in Feb of 94) Thats the last i'm saying, because I'm not in the argument mood. :)

Fans of every team see things differently.
