well Vandy is a solid tourney team but they are no top 15 team by no stretch of the imagination and Kentucky had home court advantage and Vandy probably played one of their worst games of the season as far as execution in the first half..
they really did outplay kentucky towards the end of the game with an exception of the final minute or so in the 2 OT, but it wasnt enough because they played poorly in the beginning of the game falling behind by as many as 16 points
Uk did not close Vandy out in this game even though they won, and if their fans believe that they are going to win the east then they will have to be able to close out mediocre teams such as Vandy, there is absolutely no way UK will beat UT with our depth, talent and toughness, and if they do i will jump off of a 10 inch cliff..
Just a little comparison, but if Vandy and UK had played UT's schedule up to now it would look something like this..
Vandy(7-7) UK (4-10)
