Kiffin Karma: USC sanctions

:fireworks::fireworks::fireworks:

Well even if we don't get one single USC player, just the thought of guys leaving their program to attend other schools is icing on the freakin cake!! Unfortunately I doubt Lane will even been remorseful in this. He is so blinded to morals/ethics that he will not even see that he too had a hand in this, and that given the time he (along with Ed) would have only dug a deeper hole. I am so glad that he is not our coach. It hurt in the beginning, but now, man thank God its not Tennessee at the bottom of "The Lead" on ESPN.

This is the first time I've ever made the statement I'm about to make:

I wonder what Bill Plaschke has to say about this.

As bad as I hate to admit it..this is true. Why transfer to a re-building school that is still 2-3 years away when you only have 2 years at most left to play? Now some of the new recruits (ie Henderson) might benefit, but again, he would have to wait at least 2 years to compete for a NC here just like he would if he stayed at USC. I don't see this benefiting UT in any way other than the sheer pleasure of watching Kiffy and Ogre squirm and whiff on blue chip recruits for the next 2 years.

Because our rebuilding phase is due to the talent level. We lack talent and experience IMO. If we had the talent and experience now would that not put us in position to by pass the building phase?Thats why you offer offensive line with experience a scholarship to play for a good, honest coach and have a chance to play in the best conference and beat the National Champions this year.

Been a member of WE ARE SC for a while..... man they are touchy today! Said that Lane tried to turn TN into USC East but it looks like him and Pete turned USC into Bama West and got banned forever....... They used to be a team I at least paid attention to being that a close family member is there at college now but oh well....... The new saying ought to be, "Why FIGHT ON, when you have nothing to win!" LMAO!

If they were going to transfer I would think they would want to go to a good school with no depth in hopes of actually playing in their last two years. I would think UT would fit this bill nicely. If we got enough of their players this could significanlty shorten any rebuilding. Though I admit this is just dreaming and is very unlikely to happen.

Exactly. Recruit now, Kiffin. And if you do manage to actually sign someone of note I think the NCAA might be a little curious as to how you did it. I can't wait to see what Ambles looks like in 2 years. Add that to the list of epic last minute recruiting decisions. Oh, what's that-you want to come back to TN? Sorry, we're good with Da Freak. He was ranked higher anyways.

Given the obscene amount of money that Kiffhead is getting, and the lack of "institutional control," I would like to think that Garrett is toast when the smoke clears.

I think that CDD will take anyone from USC that wants to be here and fits the system. The biggest question would be who wants to be here...If he doesn't end up with anyone, then I hope USC gets poached by any and everyone else.

It's becoming more and more apparent that CLK is the football equivalent of a transitional champion...just keeping things warm until USC finds the guy they REALLY want to take the wheel. The program isn't anywhere near dead, but I'd be shocked if he spends any meaningful amount of time there. Ultimately it's good that he wasn't here long enough to get us slapped with the same kind of penalties. Things have a funny way of working out.

This is exactly what I have been thinking since the day that fool left. Lane Kiffin leaving is one of the best things that ever happened for the long-term good of the Tennessee football program.

Where are all of the Kiffin Sheep today? No bleating whatsoever. Man, I love the peace and quiet.

I'm looking forward to that slug trying to spin USC's situation.

How many others will he throw under the bus to dodge any responsibility for any reason including what he has said to/promised recruits ? (I predict double digits)

Will he restart his previously popular false accusation program to lamely attempt to deflect negative attention ? (be ready UCLA, Stanford, and even his old buddy Sarkisian is in danger, IMO)

The suspense is exhilarating.

Slime On, troggans.

* Most major programs could be in usc's shoes, at any moment, but the suffering of Monte's kid overrides any disdain I feel for the NCAA or sorrow for the kids victimized by that slug.

Told my wife the same thing, he has always been good at spinning crap but there is no way around this.
He cant even blame the "old regime" since he and coach o are the old regime.

My guess is, USC will just appeal the NCAA's decision and it will be a couple more years before they began their probation.

According to everything that i have read... we do not need permission to contact current juniors and seniors according to the ncaa bylaws

This. According to what is being reported, USC juniors and seniors are gonna be fair game to be recruited to other schools. We could see a mass exodus from Troy. Add that to losing 30 scholarships, the pickings are going to be seriously slim.
