Bama and Saban will hire who they want, And if that's Kiffin, there's nothing Slive can do to stop it.

Slive may be disappointed or angered with the hire, but retaliating against Bama will do him little good.

If hired Slive may keep a watchful eye out on Kiffin and Bama, and if Kiffin has any problems, slam them if he gets the chance. But, that's about it IMHO.

Maybe Saban wanted him not just as an OC but also as a dirty recruiter? Everyone knows that he is dirty and a potential cancer and I can't imagine there aren't other guys that could do just as good of a job with play calling.

Saban and Bama in general are 10x dirtier than CLK, he just doesn't have the top cover CNS and Bama has.

Not to mention Saban has Emeritt in his back pocket so, no the NCAA will not be back in the trailer park until thre is a change in NCAA leadership. It's actually a pretty dangerous recruiting combination and a smart move by CNS.

If CLK is anything, he is a salesman and with CNS as cover the SEC needs to watch out.

Lane Kiffin has an agenda....and it is all about Lane Kiffin. If he gets the job and knocks up Layla again....does he name the kid Tuscaloosa....and man that would be terrible especially if it is a girl!

The severity of ncaa sanctions these days seems to depend on who are. Case in point Miami and Penn State(Bugger U.).
