Kiffin to Bama??

I just don't understand what people see in this guy.....

It's not him, it's

Exactly. James Franklin would hire him....

I don't see why people bash the guy simply because he left for what he'd consider a dream job.

As much of a Vol as I am, I don't expect everybody to love the place like I do.

I think it's more of a matter how and when he left not because he left. Leaving in the middle of the night and 3 weeks before signing day is what rubs people the wrong way. That being said, we were better off in the long run for obvious reasons.

Despite his inability to be a head coach, lane is still a good offensives be and a relentless recruiter. As much as I hate to say this but if he goes to Bama I honestly think he'll improve the team.

Lets be honest here. Lane only had success at the expense of others. Pete Carroll and Steve Sarkisian were the head of his Offensive success at USC. Once he ventured out on his own the record speaks for itself:
Oakland= Failed
UT= Failed. Not to mention almost single handedly killed our program.
USC v2= Failed with quality talent and was fired mid season only to see the team win their way to bowl game with O at the helm.

Hmmmm. Yeah Bammers hire him, he is just what we and the rest of the SEC want.

I'm hoping Vandy hires Lane as their new HC.
He'll have to change his son's name from Knox to Nash though.

A friend of mine that is a bama fan just sent me a screenshot of a tweet from Travis Haney, and I have no idea how to upload a picture on here, that said Nussmeier was encouraged to look around for another job and could open the door for Kiffin to get the OC position. On one hand I think it would be a bad hire for them and good for us because he seems like a cancer for a program, but on the other hand he seems to know X and O's well and can recruit with the best of em. Thoughts?
"Layla's husband" I like it; kinda like Veldormort. Sorry if misspelled; not a big Harry Potter fan.

If it goes to Bama, the new saying will be Roll Avalanche- he's already rolled over two other programs.. let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Now that I think of it, if Napier gets promoted to OC, it wouldn't shock me if Kiffin gets brought in as a QB coach. Assuming he'd be willing to be a position coach again.

Kiffin is interviewing for OC and let's be frank, he'll get the job.

Rise To The Top is in full force now.

It's hard for me to accept that Nick Saban would be interested in the poopy storm that would be associated with hiring Kiffin. He has to know that there are plenty of guys out there that are AT LEAST as capable as LK and exist in relative obscurity.

Is LK really of the quality that makes it worth the headache?

Thanks, LonnieUtah... going to be one at Bama too...

avalanches are serious and I hope no one was hurt the day you say this particular one go...

Utah is a place I want to visit other than the SLC airport terminal.. we keep talking about a road trip..

GO VOLS..
GO BIG ORANGE ...

Everyone was good to go. It was a "controlled" slide that went a little bigger than they anticipated... :D

If you ever make it, plan on a late March/Early April trip. You'll have everything from skiing to trout fishing to golf to our wonderful national parks at your beckon call...

How To Destroy A Historical Football Program:

Step 1: Hire Lane Kiffin

Step 2: Let him do his thing.

I hope the pattern follows to BAMA.

Kinda sounds the same as how to become a millionaire:

Step 1: Put together $1 Billion.

Step 2: Invest it in the airline industry.

In seriousness from my last post, Kiffin somehow manages to fall forward. And while a coordinator isn't a head coaching gig, it is a pretty important position when you consider it would be for an upper level team like Bama.

So yes, he'll probably get the job based on blind luck alone.

Kiffin in control of the Bama offense would put Bama to another level. Kiffin is a snake but he would be the best OC in the NCAA. it would be scary
As far as the recruiting tactics Saban is the one coach who would keep Kiffin in line. With the talent Bama brings in, I do not want to see an explosive Kiffin offense to go along with the Saban defense.

yep..I agree

Apparently his wife didn't like it here in Knoxville, so I can't imagine her liking it any better in Tuscaloosa of all places.
