Kiffin to Florida?

Will Kiffin be FL's next coach?

Didn't I read from you that boosters had agreed already to put up the buyout money?

The only real meaningful questions as a Vols fan are:
Will they REALLY overpay Kiffin enough to get him?
How far down the list is Golesh?

Any thoughts?
Golesh is 2-4. He has zero shot at that job.

I really thought Napier would do well at florida. Clearly I was wrong. I think Liepold will be getting a phone call once Napier is gone.
Or hey, Mike McCarthy will be unemployed soon.

Home run for Florida but won’t happen anyway.
Day has done everything but win a natty. And honestly, they were a blown targeting call away from beating UGA in the 2022. Or the kicker does his job and makes the FG.

It would be insanely dumb for OSU to fire him. There isn't anyone realistically better, unless they plan on bringing Meyer back.

A popular refrain from their fans is that Day sucks because he's 1-3 against Michigan. It's like they forgot that out of the 7 times Urban played Michigan, they were ranked outside the top 10 for 4 of those games. They were unranked for 3 of them and ranked #20 in another. Michigan from 2012-2018 is not the same program as Michigan from 2021-2023.

Day, in contrast, has had to play Michigan when they were a top 5 team 3 years in a row. I get it; Ohio St was ranked #2 in each of those losses and they expected to win, but still. They tend to act like beating Michigan is just as easy as beating Western Michigan.

Was there some mitigating factor in why Michigan was a different team during those two time periods?

ORR……

Saban.

The calls would be absolute GOLD!

Seems like the energy behind this thread is desire by Vols fans that Kiffin not end up at UF.

I'd be curious to know whether the powers that be have discussed this with Team Lagway in stay or go scenarios.
Doubt anyone cares. He still hasn’t won any big games as a head coach. I just don’t see it happening until your program isn’t a train wreck

Recruiting or sign stealing. Pick one or both.

Another factor that will surely be lost over time is the Covid 19 rule that allowed some 4 star recruits to hang around until they were full grown men. Normally a veteran team would have 2 or 3 seniors, 2 or 3 juniors or a sophomore starting. However, teams who didn’t have first round NFL talent ended up with 4th, 5th, and 6th year seniors on their starting roster.

Returning seniors could get paid just as much in college as the NFL and up their draft stock at the same time, in which NFL salaries are based for the first few years.
