Day has done everything but win a natty. And honestly, they were a blown targeting call away from beating UGA in the 2022. Or the kicker does his job and makes the FG.Home run for Florida but won’t happen anyway.
A popular refrain from their fans is that Day sucks because he's 1-3 against Michigan. It's like they forgot that out of the 7 times Urban played Michigan, they were ranked outside the top 10 for 4 of those games. They were unranked for 3 of them and ranked #20 in another. Michigan from 2012-2018 is not the same program as Michigan from 2021-2023.Day has done everything but win a natty. And honestly, they were a blown targeting call away from beating UGA in the 2022. It would be insanely dumb for OSU to fire him. There isn't anyone realistically better, unless they plan on bringing Meyer back.
Was there some mitigating factor in why Michigan was a different team during those two time periods?A popular refrain from their fans is that Day sucks because he's 1-3 against Michigan. Day, in contrast, has had to play Michigan when they were a top 5 team 3 years in a row. I get it; Ohio St was ranked #2 in each of those losses and they expected to win, but still. They tend to act like beating Michigan is just as easy as beating Western Michigan.

Doubt anyone cares. He still hasn’t won any big games as a head coach. I just don’t see it happening until your program isn’t a train wreckSeems like the energy behind this thread is desire by Vols fans that Kiffin not end up at UF.
I'd be curious to know whether the powers that be have discussed this with Team Lagway in stay or go scenarios.
