An Oklahoma team that Tennessee beat without Rickea Jackson while Talaysia Cooper was redshirted is not in anyway a better team than Tennessee. Tennessee will look different and play different as a team from the start of the season. That in of itself is an advantage. No more starting the season off in a hole due to game/in-season management and a poorly constructed non-conference schedule.
Best take from u

A lot of Tennessee players have posted on Instagram the naming of Kim Caldwell as the new coach, implicating they are staying with TN. Players to have done so are Puckett, Tess Darby, Striplin, Strickland, Hollingshead, Cooper.
That is excellent news and a very good sign. Have you seen anything from Boyd?

She just posted her LV Merch and seems to be good friends with Ace Cooper and Destinee so I think she’ll stay but we don’t know ofc
Keeping the existing roster in tact would be one big check in the box for Coach Caldwell and it would help in the transfer window to have committed quality players sticking with her.

Agreed. We really could use another big down low. Curious if she brings any players with her from Marshall. Not really any tall players on their team, but they did have a couple small guards, but don’t think we need anymore guards.

Exactly. In any coaching change u must keep a strong base or risk randoms out of the portal. Keep the core and use the 5 in the portal if u can. This way we at least don’t fall off the cliff

This would be a huge win in my book. I want the program to be successful, so keeping our core players and good portal recruiting could make me excited.

Hey well now we are playing 4 guards.. BRING ON THE GUARDS

GONE ARE THE DAYS OF SLOW PAT BASKETBALL

we don’t have to be the biggest

100 possessions

Now tbf look at LSU USC and OSU and we win be a blended style of those teams

So yea

I don't think so. There are many who are worried that it could happen. There is a difference,.
Nope, there are multiple posters that co-signed the post saying they “hope the LV’s fall into the abyss” if Kim was the hire.

Ironically, the poster that liked your post I’m replying to - he was one of them.

Okay, I did not see the OP you are referencing. I would still submit that is a minority view.

I confess to being surprised by this hire and I am having a great time poking a little fun at the Danny-White-is-GOD crowd but I am hoping that Caldwell turns out to be a brilliant hire and brings the LVs back to national contender status.
