While it's true that she's underachieved, especially given she only got one NC and two FFs with Griner, she's the only current HC besides Geno and Tara with multiple NCs. That says a lot. She's just as good of a coach as Walz, who many around here seem to think is the bee's knees, and Staley. Granted, she has three NCs and should probably have 5-6, but it's not like WBB is just crawling with elite coaches.
Baylor was the defending NC this season, and was on the short list of legit NC contenders the past two seasons. That doesn't strike me as "checked out".Didn’t think Mulkey had that many years left at Baylor. But, I thought she would’ve retired after her spinal injury. Because she’s seemed checked out the last couple of seasons. To me that is.
Joni Taylor? Really? I'd think they'd aim a bit higher...
There are only 6 active coaches who have won a Natty: Geno, Tara, Kim, Dawn, Gary Blair and Brenda Frese
There are only 5 other active coaches who have made a title game and lost: C. Vivian Stringer, Jeff Walz, Quinton Hillsman, Vic Schaefer and Adia Barnes (Gail G did, but she's an assistant at CMU now).
And there are only 3 other active head coaches who have even made a Final Four: Kelly Graves, Scott Rueck and Mike Neighbors.
So there's your list of elite coaches.
If Walz goes to Baylor I’ll be so mad. That would prove everyone wrong who said UT had no chance to land him.Don’t be surprised if Smith, Egbo, Ursin, and Lewis all follow her to LSU. They can all play next year as well due to the new automatic waiver.
The SEC is going to look a lot different next year. Also, look out for Baylor to make a push for Walz and Joni Taylor from Georgia.

Not coaching wise. I’m saying with the university. There’s been a rift growing ever since they made Mulkey apologize surrounding that sexual assault statement.Baylor was the defending NC this season, and was on the short list of legit NC contenders the past two seasons. Welcome coach Mulkey...The SEC just got more POTENT!!...With the new xfer rule, it would not surprise me if a lot of Baylor's top players travel with her...They will be able to play immediately...Note to them...This is the SEC not Big 12...We suit up every night [NO CUPCAKES]...better start running more or hit the treadmill for endurance work...GO LVFLDon’t be surprised if Smith, Egbo, Ursin, and Lewis all follow her to LSU.
