Kinda interesting about Bama

Joe is due for a good game... but playing on the road, we haven't handled that well
I don’t expect Milton to be perfect. He’s already proven that is a stretch. He just needs to take a few shots down field (20+ yards) and complete about 25% of them. Of course he’ll need to make good reads to be sure none of them are picked. He’ll really have to read the cover 3 coverage because that’s the coverage that has been giving him problems. I guarantee Saban is going to disguise that on most 3rd and longs.

They have scored 24 three games 26 one game with the exception of Ms State and USF(milroe didn’t play) they scored 17. Im
Not saying we win if we score more than 24 per se but they’ve been pretty consistent in their output .
It probably means that UT needs to hold them to something less than that.

It's going to be a game dominated by the defenses, unlike last year's Bama game.

IMO Bama is in a similar place to TN. Their offense isn't what it was and their defense is having to fight the battle this year.

It'll be good hard football Saturday. If Heupel goes into Nick's house and beats him with defense, he should put a cigar in his mouth before he walks over to shake hands with Nick.

I’m sure he will do exactly that before going over to Saban and I’ll love every second of it.

I tell you what, if Heupel pulls this off and the defense wins us this game, I might have a stroke 😂

What's crazy is our offense ranks well above theirs......I think it's about .4 yds per play better. Defense is almost identical.
We are dead last in explosive plays and that is where they are starting to get better.

The total for the Over/Under is 48. So it sounds about right that winner needs to reach 24 points to win.

But considering our passing game has been obsolete, especially since Bru went down, I don't see a one dimensional offense scoring that much in Tuscaloosa.

Keep in mind that Bama has defensively held its SEC opppnents to an average of 17 points per game. Granted, the only highly ranked offense was Ole Miss, but they only scored 10.

The only team to score more than 21 points was Texas, whose offense is ranked #13 in total yards. We are #31

Number one concern for me is Milroe's legs. We tend to rush four and blitz occasionally to dial up pressure and keep O-Line guessing. This opens up running lanes and the kid has serious wheels. We need disciplined pressure from the D-Line to collapse the pocket and limit his ability to run. We should also spy Milroe when able to avoid big gains that can extend drives, flip field position etc.

Milton has to be consistent and we have to find success on the ground. Will be a grudge match but one we can win IF we put it all together. Toughest test of the year to date.

Milroe hasn’t been running since he pulled his hamstring before the USF game. They have no elite playmakers on offense and a bad OL.
Bama is 129th of 133 in sacks allowed and 96th in rushing offense.

Statistically, our defense is on the same level as theirs.

If Joe can not turn the ball over, I think we got this.

all we need is a few blown coverages
enough time to throw
Milton to make a good decision in the moment
passes to be on the mark
our receivers to catch the ball

.... I hope we can run on them
