Kinda interesting about Bama

Maybe the most surprising thing about Bama and Saban this year is how it looks like he literally had no plan at QB for the departure of Bryce Young.
Deep in Nick Sabans😈 lab, Spring of 2023 he conjured up, The Notre Dame project thus far has been a failure. Former ND Offensive Coordinator, Tommy Rees, pees down his leg as his guaranteed QB fix Notre Dame's Tyler Buchner fails, Bama fans are getting out the pitchforks.😂

This is all very true. Even during fall camp, bama insiders were confident Buchner would emerge and become qb1.

Yes i believe Milton needs to have a good game, but don't think he has to have a great one for us to win. No turnovers #1, being able to avg 4 yards a carry will open up some play action for him. i think if he throws for 175-200 yards and we can have 225-250 yards in the run game we win this one very close. Wouldn't hurt to get a big play on defense or special teams either, not necessarily a score, but a big return or a INT with a decent return. GBO! Vols 27- 24.

First one to 30 in this thing likely wins.
Honestly, I look for another aTm type game - low scoring affair where we have to lean on our defense and special teams unit to make it happen.

I'm saying Vols squeak one out 31-28, or some such delta (might very well be 17-14).

I know they were on the road but this is the best defense they will face. It would he hard for them to reach 24 unless Tenn Florida's it again.
I am of the belief that Coach Huepel and the team prepared for the Florida game using the game film from the Utah-Florida game. It's worth noting that Salt Lake City sits at over 4,000 feet above sea level, and Gainesville sits at about 5 feet above sea level. I watched that game, and Florida just looked like a bad, out of shape team. I used to live in Salt Lake City, and you don't acclimate to that kind of altitude when you get there on Thursday and play on Saturday. I think that is why Florida looked so bad during that game, and I think CHP and the team underestimated Florida based on using that game film and not taking the altitude into consideration. Not an excuse, just an explanation. I can't think of any other reason why we looked so unprepared in that game.

Florida also got torched by Kentucky.
I think if Mays and Pilli play they win. I think they were that out of sorts in that game due to the injury. Heck, I think they probably win with just Mays.

The A&M game took 5yrs off my life. I expect this game to take 10.
Normally I don’t get too over hyped for our games but I’ve gotta admit, my heart was pounding out of my chest before the Florida game because right before kickoff something gave me a bad bad feeling. I fully expect Tennessee to lose this game because we can’t complete passes but if we win I’m gonna get stupid, I just ain’t figured out how yet 😆

Another interesting stat.
Tennessee hasn’t won a road game against a top 15 opponent since 2006. Anyone know who that was?

They have scored 24 three games 26 one game with the exception of Ms State and USF(milroe didn’t play) they scored 17. Im
Not saying we win if we score more than 24 per se but they’ve been pretty consistent in their output .

I believe Bama is favored by 9. We got ‘em right where we want them.

Well they beat #25 LSU on the road and LSU was #14 when they played UGA in championship game . UGA winning 50 to 30 but LSU had over 500 total yards vs UGA. In other words we beat a really good offensive team bad last year on the road.

I'm going to the game. Havent been to Tuscaloosa since the Kiffin year. We should have won that one. We made a big athlete who could jump 1-1/2 inches off the ground famous. Hmmm what happened to him?

Let's go VOLS

I was in my feels in the 1st QTR, but the end of the 3rd QTR i just wanted the game to end. Ha Ha Ha. Sloppiest game i have seen two teams play in a while. It was miserable. I had a GIF saved on my phone of a Ref throwing a flag that i would post in a group chat im in. My TV was about 3 plays ahead of the people in the groupchat (shout out to youtubeTV) and they would get really annoyed at the flag gifs with no context.

I think the bigger problem was Tennessee's D not being able to get off the field. Time of possession in the first half was Tennessee 8 minutes vs Florida 22 minutes. Hard to score when your offense is on the sidelines. The time of possession was more equitable in the second half, but Florida scored 4 TD's in the first half. The damage had already been done.

Really good point. I still feel like we are a better team but this isn’t something I thought about nor hear anyone else mention.

I think we are absolutely the better team. Then and now. Billy Napier ought to send CJH a fruit basket for saving his job for another year (maybe).
