Knecht scores 16…

I'll never forgive my 6ers for passing DK up. I think McCain will be nice, but not better than DK.

McCain would’ve been a way better fit (personality wise) for OKC. He just a little too much for Philly 🤣

Seen some videos and he’s a very high energy/loud guy. Looked like most of the 6ers team didn’t **** with him lol

DK really struggling from the perimeter in the pre-season. I’m sure the light will come on at some point, but so far it’s not been good.

Slightly unrelated but found myself watching DK highlights in preparation for the upcoming season. Stumbled across his highlights from the Sweet 16 game against Creighton.

I honestly don't think we get to the Elite 8 against Creighton if we didn't have DK. Really going to miss him single-handedly taking over games this season.

Keep saying something bc he ended up hitting 5 for the night lol

He was 1-5 at halftime when I went to bed. So, that means he went 4-8 in the 2nd half to finish 5-13. Much better numbers there. He’s still learning and growing, so I don’t expect him to be Steph Curry right away. It’s encouraging to see him get some to drop in the 2nd half. Lakers desperately need him to contribute. Their roster is gross.

You know what puzzles me. People continue to talk about Bronnys privilege but not one mention of JJ Reddick privilege. What did he do to deserve his job.

He knows hoops. He played in the league 16 years. He's a schemer.

What did Ham do to deserve the job before him?

Most available coaches with a track record are known commodities and for them that's a bad thing. Lakers hired Vogel and then Suns hired Vogel, fired after short stints in both places. He deserved a job in the traditional sense but he's not actually good. Teams would rather roll the dice on a guy like JJ who could be the next big thing, rather than taking a guy with a coaching resume.

Ty Lue had only been an assistant for 3 years and Bron/Cavs took a ton of heat for the hire, and turned out he's a phenomenal coach.

Mazzoula got killed his whole first season despite winning.

The relentless Mazzoula criticism always was a little befuddling to me.

Ime Udoka won the ECF because Butler missed an open 3 in game 7. Ime's drama throws the C's into complete disarray the next season. Several assistants leave. Mazzoula has to pick up the pieces, and then takes the C's to game 7 of the ECF against the same Heat team and loses because Tatum sprains his ankle in the 1st quarter.

Ime was beloved and people were calling for Mazzoula's head. It makes absolutely no sense.

I love Bill Simmons' podcast, but hearing him cry all season about how clueless Mazzoula was, and then soon thereafter he's brought a title in dominant fashion, and Simmons is crying because Mazzoula wasn't a top 10 coach on some list?...bro, just STFU.

Of course, ESPN article about the game is 100 percent about Bronny and his wonderful 1-6 shooting and the one defensive effort he made, and Reddick talking about him. It’s clear that the Lakers are marketing a brand this year, and not a basketball team. Or at least the media is.
I’m convinced Lebron had them tank that game so he could get to play in his hometown before the starts the g league life. I even texted people before the game that. It’s all a vanity project.

I know the popular take is that it’s a great place for Knecht, but I hate that he’s in that dysfunctional place. Jeannie Buss a female Jimmy Haslam, maybe worse. What she did to Jerry West, among all her other garbage, is just reprehensible. Then they have the nerve to pay tribute to him after destroying him in his final years. I love Dalton but that franchise is trash. I was hoping he’d go to Miami or OKC, or SA. They all missed out.

You ah w t heard people talk about that? I have. I agree that both are privileged and don’t belong where they are. Of course, the GM had no qualifications either other than being Kobe’s agent and buddy. Buss is the worst.

Bronny being there is sort of harmless. They could have drafted a better player, but with only 2 rounds now, The FA choices are much better

Well I'm a Vol fan but not an NBA fan but was watching SportsCenter and they showed Bronny hitting a shot and showed he & LeBron together. The only time they showed DK was when he passed to LeBron and was a turnover. So I wasn't sure did Bronny hit all of his shots and DK had a turnover and was pulled but that was the hi-lites.
