lol at the comment saying Knight was one of the most overrated coaches of all time.

UK fans better hope that Cal doesn't continue the trend he's been on.

Knight, the former Indiana and Texas Tech coach who won a record 902 games, did not elaborate or take questions from reporters.
Why not? Sorry Bobby supporters, but his holier than thou bs doesn't play well with me.

The UK fans over at Wildcatnation are claiming that Knight is jealous of Calipari. Knight who has 902 wins and 3 titles, jealous of Calipari? :eek:lol:

I have always been a supporter of Knight, in alot of ways. However, I don't like that approach either. The George Bush "I'll just never talk to the media, that way I can't be confronted" attitude. I don't care for it, personally.

As for the comment, I'm not sure why he decided to bring it out now, nor do I understand the motive. Leaving it up in the air like that with the media is chippy, so to speak.

As for Calipari, I'm not an apologist. The man has obviously had some shady dealings in the past. I don't think he has been 100% the transgressor in some cases, but it happened under his watch and therefore chances are he knew about it.

As UK fans, (at least myself) you have to hope that at a school such as UK, that shady tactics will not be needed. Also, that he should know that there is no way he could possibly get away with something else again, especially at this school. We hope our own University is policing it, because everyone knows the NCAA is.

Until the ship sinks, we will have to ride it out.

Funny, when the babbling, senile idiot you have coaching football takes shots at Kiffin he's a man of principle. Hypocrite.

At least Brooks deals in fact rather than innuendo, you bitter old fart.

Which part of this is not fact? By the way, I am not hating on Calipari, just wondering where Knight has gone from fact to innuendo? Surely you guys knew there would be heat over Cal's past.

"We've gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that's why I'm glad I'm not coaching," he said. "You see we've got a coach at Kentucky who put two schools on probation and he's still coaching. I really don't understand that. "And very few people know this, but a kid can play the first semester as a freshman, pass six hours of anything and play in the NCAA tournament without ever attending a class in the second semester. I don't think that's right."

This has to be creating a dilemma for the drum beaters of both sides. Tough call who to back here.

UMASS and Memphis didn't both have vacated Final Four appearances? Not only are you a hypocrite, your grasp of truth is nonexistant.

I can't wait to say, "I told you so", to all my Cat fans. Cal has done some shady, messed up things in his time. Seriously, the bar at Kentucky is probably 10 X more higher than anywhere else, especially after the recent history compared to "Kentucky Greatness" so I seriously believe this is when Cal gets the royal boot. But that's okay, he'll just jump ship to the NBA.
