Just wondering where the OP found anything about a broken ankle??? ESPN reports that he was carted off the field,,,has Petrino made a statement? Either way,,,hope his injury isn't that bad. We may be opponents on the field, rivalries on game day, but after all, how would we all feel if we found out that Tauren broke an ankle??? These kids give their all for the game,,,if the news is true that he did break his ankle,,,it would be nice if a few of us hit up the Hogs forum and wish them the best - with sincerity.

Here's an article; speculation as to ankle or perhaps ACL:

ESPN article says it was a leg injury and that it won't be discussed with the media until tomorrow. Apparently Arky is pretty tight lipped about this stuff.

Actually, if you could tell by the question mark, it's me questioning if you have any English composition skills.

Don't call someone out for composition if you don't know your punctuation.

Big time players step up in big time situations...IF he is out, someone will come around. Regardless we will have to bring our A-game if we're going to beat them.

Good luck to Knile.

Could this be the reason we are stock with DB, because injury's happen....Prayers for the young man...but this game is not going to be a gimme....takes 33 players to play the game....1 player goes down doesn't constitute a win.

bad news for them, feel sorry for him, but it's still good news for us.

Agreed. that game isnt the beast it once was. Alos I feel a recount of preseason ALL SEC running backs is in order. Now that he will not play majority if any games. can we please add OUR 1,000 yard rusher tauren poole to the list of ALL SEC????

Agreed. We were fine with travis henry when jamal lewis went down. They have other running backs. We still need to really bring the wood to have a chance against the hogs in that game IMO.

I do now but first a second there, I was like YES!!! This game just became a lot more winnable...then I felt like an a$$hole...

Sad is the day Vols fans prefer to beat a wounded team instead of knocking the snot out of them when they're at their best thus have no excuse for losing.

I want Ark. at full strength and my Vols with an attitude of not caring who their opponent is or how good they're supposed to be and go in and at them full tilt, scared of nobody, anywhere, anytime.

English Composition much?

Is that a prepositional phrase?

I'm confused now. Is Davis' injury a broken sentence or is the injury just a dangling participle?

Sorry, but Arkansas game not winable even with Davis out - too much firepower at the skill positions for them. By November, our lack of defensive depth will start to show up and we will be a tired, undermaned defense trying to defend the best offense in the SEC on the road. Let's be realistic, shall we? Ark 41, UT 17.

Bama 09. We're not a sure win for any team (and the opposite is true as well). Any given Saturday....
