Knoxville Restaurants

Again, I think WWC is garbage. They use an oil-based sauce. BWW uses a mayo based sauce and IMO their medium sauce is the best sauce money can buy.

I think people are hesitant to want to credit a major chain as being the best in the business, as opposed to a smaller more local'ish place. The truth is that's why BWW became such a huge chain in the first place, because their wings are the best out there.

They're slow, the food is often served cold and/or over cooked and their wings are small. The sauce selection is decent but not worth it for the hassle of all the other issues they have. And the beers are expensive too, even at happy hour.

And I'm not sure if saying they're the best because they're the biggest is something you really believe when it comes to restaurants, or if you're just making it up because you think it might help your case.

If you think their wings are small, you haven't been there in a while. I go there Wednesdays for trivia and they are always meaty wings.

Well, all wings are meaty. I don't think anybody serves a plate of bones. That doesn't however mean they're big.

I heard that. That location has had several restaurants that have failed.

However, that Hurricane's sucked. The service was horrible.

For a while it looked like an unsuccessful location cause it was a concept building where they'd try out a concept, then shut it down and replace it. Hurricanes, if I remember correctly, was the first business there after owner (I think Ruby Tuesday?) sold the building away.

Anybody tried Rosati's? I got a flyer in the mail from them. Says they have "authentic" chicago deep dish. I've never had deep dish but i've always wanted to try it. Thoughts?

They say authentic because they have plenty of Rosatis around Chicago.

It's all good food. Pizzas are good. Their other dishes are good, too.

Real deep dish is absolutely amazing. The best I've ever had was in Chicago. I've wanted to give Rosati's a try for a while now to see how it compares.

Update: as stated in my previous post, i have never had deep dish pizza before, so i have nothing to compare it to. With that said, this was some damn good pizza. I think the chunky sauce was perfect for this deep dish. I will definately eat there again.

Side note: the place is tiny. The have like 6 small tables in a space for 4 tables max, so i wouldnt bring the family & try to have a sit down dinner. However they do offer you to go plates, napkins, cutlery at no extra charge.

We've been twice. Both times we took it next door to Casual Pint and hung out there.

I'm sure you've had deep dish before you just probably didn't know it was deep dish. Deep dish aka pan pizza.

True deep dish is truly like a pie. The dough is put in a pan and up the sides. You then add the sliced mozz. all over the dough. Press Italian sausage on top of mozz. Drizzle crushed tomatoes on top and sprinkle with parm.

SIAP, but I am addicted to hot and sour soup. My favorite in Knoxville is at Szechuan Garden in South Knoxville and Golden Garden on Oak Ridge Highway. I also like the soup at PF Chang. Does anyone else have any recommendations on where to get some tasty hot and sour soup? In my opinion, in order for it to be good, it has to have a distinct sour twang in addition to the heat (thus, the name). TIA.
