Ray Bans?

Had a Groupon to Peerless restaurant that needed to be used and so we went. It had literally been years since we'd been there which if I'm not mistaken was back when they first opened sometime in 2005. Needless to say it wasn't a terribly great experience since we hadn't been there for 9 years. Well, we had a surprisingly redemptive dinner tonight I must say. The only app we got was the flaming cheese app which was pretty good, nothing spectacular. A couple of us got the lobster bisque which we all thought was pretty darn good. Some places really just don't know how to do a nice lobster bisque but Peerless does. A couple salads were ordered which were also on point. Three of us ordered the lobster or lobster and steak. All the lobsters that were brought to the table were either fried or steamed and all were perfectly cooked, and not overdone which is impressive in my book. The steaks(filets) were also excellent and cooked perfectly to order, and my sister who is a Bearnaise sauce freak actually got some extra sauce to go if that tells you anything. The spinach maria they serve is honestly probably the best in town imo. Off the top of my head the only other place I can think of that does spinach maria is Calhoun's and while theirs is decent with some spiciness Peerless's is better sans the heat. That said we'd definitely go again and they've obviously improved. General consensus was that we were all pleasantly surprised.
