Knoxville Restaurants

I had the burnt ends and brisket at Dead End when I was back this weekend and the Briaket was good and the burnt ends that weren't all fat and grissle was good
I wouldn't order the burnt ends again since about 2/3rds were fat

Sounds like a slacker was manning the smoker that day. Burnt ends have to be cooked longer to properly render out the fat and collagen.

You can smoke cigars there?

Tell me more...

Oh yeah. When I lived in Knoxville I belonged there and it was fair. Best part was the view (which is GREAT - downtown, smokies, neyland - very cool especially at twilight after a game). Went after the Florida game for the first time in a while and had a blast. Good tvs, good view, good service, and enjoyed some cigars. I didn't eat so I don't know if the food is any better but it's a great spot to just hang out, watch some games, drink and smoke

Looking in to it.

Sometimes I'd like an upgrade from smoking at Silo.

I saw Chop House and kept reading then saw it was the one on Chapman Hwy and just shook my head.

I've given up on Chop House. Just not the same as it used to be. They serve Carnegie Deli cheesecake, but that's the only good thing they've got now.

Well, we went to the Chop House on Kingston Pk last winter and we enjoyed all our meals. Several of us ordered filet and they were cooked perfectly. To some degree though it doesn't seem like it's the restaurant it used to be back in it's hayday but imo the quality is still there.

We use to enjoy the Chop House, however we went to the one at Kodak a few months ago and it wasn't good. I will not return.

I still love the Chop House on Kingston Pike in West Knox. I always get the filet, medium rare, with baked potato. I think their salads are the best in town. I love how fresh they are and appreciate that they don't skimp on toppings.

Is Archers BBQ known for have surly service? I walked out of that place a while back.

I've heard the location off Merchants has a few less than friendly people.

The Chophouse in Fountain City is still great.

I don't think I will be giving a second chance to Archers BBQ. This was the one on Kingston Pike near Fort Sanders little extension.

I actually think Archers is quite good, but I don't put much weight into ambience or staff when choosing take-out Q.

That's the one I won't return to. Lol!
