whats the love fest for Kruger? He has a final 4 and that makes him some great coach ? well if thats the case Sahka Smart will be the most wanted coach in America then.
I wouldnt want Lon if he was the last coach left on the board.

I think Kermit had an exclusive deal with Borders but they're in a reorganizing deal in bankruptcy court.

This is Calapari's first final four, assuming this one isn't vacated in a year or two.

I am assuming you aren't counting the one at Memphis since it was vacated? Vacated or not, he still had to coach them there.

Enlighten us then. The guy has been pass the 2nd round three times in his career and nothing about his record, at any stop, screams anything but run of the mill.

Go look at the programs pre-Kruger and post-Kruger and get back to me.

Illinois has been far and away a better program under Self and Webber. Donovan's work at UF dwarfs Kruger. KSU under Huggins and Martin are in better shape. Point in all of this is; Kruger was at places that were capable of winning big and consistently and he didn't manage to do it. And they've all done it since.

You speak the truth!
And to the person that said, "Well Arkansas doesn't pay their womens BB coach 2mil." Summit makes 1.4mil/yr, and the womens basketball program almost breaks even yearly. Some years it's a lil' short.

You need to quit drinking the Dearstone kool-aid, the women's team doesn't even come close to breaking even. They get a hefty donation from the men's side (mostly if not all from football) annually.

Where was Lons name brought up when Pearl was fired ? It wasnt brought up until Hat went on the campaign trail for him.

Worked out real well in ATL didn't it? Doug Collins has made a career of being a run of the mill NBA coach. Next argument.

How many run of the mill guys have made it to the Final 4 with one team, the elite 8 with another team and the sweet sixteen with a 3rd team? All within 4 years at each program.

Also take a look at those 3 programs before he took them over.

Basketball is a game played with a round ball. The object is to put the ball into a round cylinder called a basketball hoop. I will let you digest this first and then give you more in about a year or so.

UF's run was a complete fluke and most UF fans will tell you the same thing. It was sandwiched between a mediocre season and a horrible season. Every program has surpassed his accomplishments under different coaches. So maybe he lays the foundation? Fine. A foundation has already been layed here, one as good if not better, than those he built at other places. That foundation needs to be expanded upon and thus far he hasn't proven he can take it any further.
