'25 KS TE Da’Saahn Brame (Tennessee)

Ethan Davis is a 30+ catches a year type of TE talent. It’s time we target him going forward. Kistleman is good, Ethan Davis reminds me of those TEs over the years that has made WR plays against us. The guy stole catches from Travis Hunter as a HS Jr in his first year of stepping off the court and saying “hey, let me try football” for reference.
We keep hearing hype surrounding Davis yet no results to date. He seems like one of those guys who either steps up big this season or goes portaling.

He literally had several catches late in the year. Big catches for first downs. Miles Kitselman is the go to in this offense.

Having a 6'5" 246 lb TE that can make a big play. But not be the showcase, that's stupid.

100 yards, average nearly 8 yards a catch... 2 TD's, 18 yard longest catch.

I dont know why this staff wont get younger players involved more, but, its a luxury to have Davis.

Davis needs to become a better blocker to get on the field more. If he does that, you’ll see him making more catches. His ability as a receiving TE isn’t in question.

We also need an offense that isn’t so consistently dependent on having the TE block/chip and release. OL needs to find a way to step up next season.

Also wouldn’t hate to see Davis out wide in Bru’s role given our lack of physical WRs to block on screens next season.

Or...here's a radical thought. Quit running so many wide receiver screens all the damn time, and actually throw the ball downfield.

Same with RBs. If the OL could improve, we can use the RBs in the passing game. That’s probably the answer to the shell coverages teams are employing against Tennessee now.

But Davis still needs to become a better blocker. Our TEs are vital to our run game.

Brame is Ethan Davis minus that HS injury…Davis was highly rated and on everyone’s radar prior to getting injured…he dropped down the ratings afterwards but the talent was and is still there…he’s every bit as talented as Brame…

Reminds me of Princeton Fant…dude was a high 4* until an injury dropped him down to a low 4*…then another injury dropped him to a low 3*…with the right recovery, coaching and scheme his talent eventually was able to shine…the same will be true for Davis

Ethan was a guy who would give you 40 on a basketball court that decided to try football. Brame has had his hand in the dirt for a while now.
