-VQone that almost didn’t end well for the Volunteers was Dasaan Brame. We taped his commitment interview the day before Dye committed. By the next day, Oregon had come in big with an NIL offer he didn’t feel like he could turn away. By the next week he had reached out to Tennessee and told them that he thought he made a mistake because his heart was in Knoxville. Everyone made a big deal about his girlfriend who is coming here to play sports as well, but that had very little to do with it. Just about a month later, he was in the class and has never looked back no matter how many phone calls he got from Oregon or Kansas State.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound senior tight end and punt returner made 40 receptions for 756 yards and 14 touchdowns this past season, leading the Panthers (11-1) to the Class 6A state semifinals. Brame also returned three punts for TDs and rushed for one score. A First-Team All-State selection as a junior, he is ranked as the nation’s No. 50 recruit in the Class of 2025 by Rivals.com.
Derby's Da'Saahn Brame named Gatorade Kansas Player of the Year
I think this is why you don’t see Heupel very worried about WR in the transfer portal. This kid is the nightmare mismatch that UGA and Flarda previously had...and Penn St currently has. Too tall and fast to be covered by LBs...too Tall and Big to be covered by DBs. A nightmare for defenses if used properly. Hype did a good job of using Kitselman this season over the middle and down the seams. Brahme is faster and should be even better in the passing game. The challenge for both of the new TEs is to be able to block well enough, especially in the running game, to earn their place on the field. Hopefully its finally OUR TURN to have an unstoppable TE in the passing game. It was no fun playing against the standouts from Flarda then UGA.
4 top 50 players in this class including the number 1 TE and 2 Tackle. I had to reread it because it was a little surprising.Kansas is an interesting little state. It's not a hot bed for talent, but some amazing players have come from that state.
Barry Sanders.
Gail Sayers, even Bryce Brown who hardly had a real college career - later went on to play 6 years in the NFL. Crazy.
But this kid is another freaky athlete.
6'6 230 and has 3 PRs for TDs??? Haha
I haven't forgotten about VanDorsealer out of Southlake Carrol Texas, but Brame can come right in an have an impact (if the coaches allow it)
Yeah we recruited both of those tackles but then backed off because we had such good traction with David Sanders.4 top 50 players in this class including the number 1 TE and 2 Tackle. I had to reread it because it was a little surprising.
