I think it's very shady. Nothing illegal or anything, but shady. They hadn't even offered the kid and NSD had come and gone. He takes a visit to UT and an offer is waiting when he gets home. He should tell them what to do with their offer, IMO.

i think we have established that all is fair in love and war and recruiting. we would do the same thing, given the chance, imo.

We are the new talent evaluators of the SEC...

Hopefully we will be in this situation of offering first more and more, and won't have to offer because someone else did first.

I agree with that. I still think its' shady, but I don't blame UGA. That's the way it goes in recruiting. I am just saying, if I were this kid and a school had basically not given me any attention or and offer until now, I wouldn't look twice. UT might have recently jumped on board, but their staff hasn't been in place but for 3 weeks. UGA's staff has had a year or longer to recruit this kid and they wait until after NSD and after the UT visit to offer. I would quickly tell them they missed out.

Good point! I think UGA is perfectly fine with this guy going to UCF just as long as we don't get him..shady shady

kinda makes you wonder if UGA even wants him and has a plan for him or just doesn't want him going to TN. If he is smart he goes to UCF or TN where the staff actually has a plan for him.

his brother committed to UGA out of high school, went to Hargrave, and ended up at Carolina. No matter who he commits to tomorrow, if he goes prep then he will beup in the air again next year

A lot of people forget the the prep school route opens up recruiting again in a year.

The place/sign isn't a sure thing.

Thats usually a pretty good indication of how things are going to end. I will e stunned if he isn't a Dawg given the fact that the UGA site will be going to SC to cover the press conference.

If that is the case, I sure do not want to hear those almighty UGA fans talk about a player that they could not get into school because of academics. They act like UGA is like Harvard when it is just like every other southern state school. And if you are an athlete they will find a way to get a kid in school or juco.

Probably the third best school in the SEC...but after Vandy, there's a huge dropoff.

believe it or not, I have been holding my breath for this signing since February 12th. I am almost out of air.

I don't want to bash a 17-18 year old kid....Lord knows I've done way too much of that this recruiting season and I'm really going to try to not do that anymore....

With that being said....does Geathers not have one ounce of self respect?

UGA had no interest in him and never offered until after we did...yet he is most likely going to jump all over it....

UGA: "Well Kwame...we really never wanted you and without UT being in the mix would most likely never offer you this scholly...but since they're showing interest and could actually use you we really need to keep you away from them...regardless of whether or not we would actually use you...what do you say?"

Kwame: "Well alright ...were do I sign up?"

Oh well...it is his choice

If he goes to UGA, hope he like splinters because he will be on the pine for his whole college career.
