Because a veteran QB like Hooker showed you could and have that timeout in your back pocket so the rushing game doesn’t get taken out of the equation. That’s why these are teaching moments. If Nico clocks the ball instead of scrambling, there’s significant time. Same with pulling a Milton last play against Arkansas. High odds future similar situations are played differently. Heupel rides and dies with his QB. Lot of winning coaches follow the same formula.
Who was the QB in the Music City Bowl time mis management against Purdue that gifted overtime rather than a walkoff field goal should we have gained less than 10 yards rather than go routes?…. Freshman?

Alll Kentucky fans have done is cry all day about us booing injured players. Now I remember why they such so bad 😂😂 have fun not going to a bowl game pussy cats
I’ve never seen so many people lay down on the field, just to stand up and leave by their own power. Kids are mentally weak now days.

We see so few injuries like Bru McCoy’s, yet they all act like that’s what they’re going through whenever something hurts.

I guess Tennessee winning 52 out of the last 60 is a fluke? Kentucky just didn't get any breaks. Yeah, that's the problem.

* It's actually 53 out of the last 60, but Tennessee forfeited the 2019 game.

I mean, I hear you but I can at least empathize with him. How many times during our downswing did we expect to get crushed, proceed to play a close game and get our hopes up, only to have them crushed once again. On top of that, we almost always beat them and have done so for >100 years and he's reacting right afterwards. I feel a little bad for him.
Sure I can relate to our trials and tribulations during the Vols’ lean years. But I never got a microphone and went before a camera and acted like a teen age doofus.

They are right - Kentucky has played their best ball against the top opponents...I saw them play against South Carolina in September and I thought they were possibly the worst team in the country. But they played Georgia a hell of a game, beat Ole Misss and played inspired against an uninspired Vol team last night. I agree with them - it's tough to be a Kentucky fan.

That's what almost everyone is not looking at. We beat a rag tag team and struggled to do it. A good team won't struggle. It's a struggle every game.
Hush that crap up. Put your back against the wall, squat until your legs a parallel with the floor and hold that position for 10 minutes in repentance.

Seriously, sometimes the Vols struggle to beat lesser teams. It’s happened nearly every season regardless of how good the Vols are.

Even the great Peyton Manning having a stellar offense lost to the Memphis Tigers. That was embarrassing beyond embarrassing.

Chill feller. It’s going to be fine. This is not the year we’re expected to make a serious run. If we get to the CFP and then a serious run at the championship, that’s icing on the cake.

Oh I see. Patronize when point is made? Seems on par.
Look, I think he needs to work on clock management. Have a blessed day
