Either KY is better than everyone thinks or Vandy is not so much if a threat after all. I tend to lean towards the later. If you look at those teams Vandy beat, those teams were not at their best when they played. I think if we show up, we handle both of these two. Thoughts

Easy pal with the Vandy/Ky threads. I just started one an hour and a half ago commenting on the poor attendance and the Mods felt the need to delete it. Good luck with this one.

Vandy sucks. They have a cupcake schedule and their only "significant" wins were over teams that were playing 2nd and 3rd stringers due to injury. They are gonna get rolled next week.

They just moved it over to the NCAA forum. It's still going strong.

Big Dan better get some push on the line. We should be able to get some run game rolling against both these times. Hopefully, our backs hit the hole and go.

Hopefully the mods will see that it is not so much about Vandy and KY, but rather a fans belief that our Vols can beat both of these teams. Instead if delete, the mods am change title, I don't care.

Kentucky seems to be playing better, but Vandy is leading by being opportunistic. I can't get a handle on these teams. I seem to be more concerned about the speed of Kentucky's playmakers and the QB running. We have had huge problems stopping a running QB.
Kentucky 204 yards Vandy 80 at his point.

I think Vandy get's most of their wins off turn overs and short fields. If you do not turn the ball over and make Vandy have long drives do not think they have a chance. We will roll Vandy and Kentucky.

They moved it to "around the NCAA"

Vandy is probably hung over from beating FL last week. Kind of makes me wish we played them this week, but I will take Butch coming off a bye any day.

Them struggling against UK has to be a positive, especially at home.

Be worried about both. We're not very good and better clean up A LOT of things if we're gonna have a chance to beat either or both of them.

Whitlow will run for 150+ yds vs us.

We will have to show up and play very physical these next couple of games in order to win. Our DE's better learn to keep contain over the next couple of weeks cause UK loves running that end and around.

What do you mean "if we're even gonna have a chance to beat either or both of them?"

They're not freaking Alabama or Auburn.

I meant what I wrote. If UT plays as poorly vs Vandy as they played vs Mizzou or Auburn they lose. Not 55-23 or 31-3 but they lose.

Kentucky game is AT Kentucky.

Defense rests.

They moved it to the "Around the NCAA" forum...you know, where stuff about, like, other NCAA teams would go.

I think if we can get the upper hand on O and D lines we should be OK. We will need to actually learn frm the AU game and have a spy on the KY QB. I think we can compete with both teams speed.

I'm still not understanding why you think we have to VASTLY improve just to have a chance against Vanderbilt or Kentucky.

Of course some things need to be improved, but both those teams need to improve some aspects of their game in order to beat us as well.
