Earnhardt and Wallace in 97 at Bristol. War of words. No punches thrown. Kyle Busch and Jeff Burton after last year's 600. Words, no punches. Logano and Newman after Michigan last year. Words and one tiny little shove. Harvick and Montoya at Watkins Glen in 2007. Shoving match, but hardly a fight. Confrontations don't always break down into fights.
That's true. The only real fight I can think of where actual fists were thrown and the like was the '79 Daytona 500. You might can count the Burton/Gordon scuffle last year as a half fight. Most are just harsh words to each other and maybe a little shoving.
