UT commitment Palardy has two kicks blocked in all-star game GoVolsXtra

"USC's loss won't likely benefit the Vols, who recruited Prater and were thought to be in good shape before he committed to the Trojans.

"No, not at all," Prater said when asked if the Vols were close to USC before he declared.

Prater said he was considering Illinois, Notre Dame and Oklahoma before committing to USC."

Probably not.

Illinois, ND, or Oklahoma are ahead of us... not including USC, but we have a small chance

Just to let everyone know, Prater is most likely headed to Florida. Why u may ask? Well his father contacted Urban Meyer day before AA game and had a very lengthy convo with UM. I know many of u will want a link, but its' 3 am and if u want a link just go to google and type in Kyle Prater's father contacts urban meyer and you'll have ur link. As much as I'd like him to come here, it's not going to happen. Florida recruiting class will continue to grow.

Go Vols!!!

So he's going to decommit from a school where he's so shaken up because his coach at said school left (USC) and go to another school where the said coach is unlikely to return (or there is at least huge question marks there) and the same thing may end up happening to him there - except this time it will be too late to change his mind (UF).

If you say so. If indeed true - the kid and his father have some issues that need to be looked at since he's obviously not committed to a university, but rather the head coach.

Umm did u watch today's AA game? Do u think the UF speculation is effecting UF's recruiting? I don't think so. Just look at Elam for instance. If u really want a link then ill be glad to put one on here. It's not like im just making this junk up. Google it like I said. That or wait a couple days or so and you'll have ur answer. Which will be exactly what I was telling you all along.

IMO I think Ambles looked better than Prater in the AA game. Dixon was on Prater like a shirt. We have Ambles and Dixon, I'm happy with that.

I agree. I am very happy with the incoming WRs. We will have one helluva WR core over the next few years.

WE do not need Prater and wish people would lay off of it already!

I think you mean Ahmad Dixon. Prater couldn't shake him in the game.

Not to say it wouldn't play out the same way under normal circumstances, but Prater was mentally somewhere else yesterday....he was pretty shook up by the news.

I agree if Prater goes anywhere in the SEC it will be Flordia. Look at the chances to play and right now it is better at Florida than Tennessee with Stevenson already there and Simms and Bray coming up. The QB competition right now is tough!

I'm good with the WRs we have committed.

I wouldnt want Prater over the guys we closing in on (Robey, Rodgers, Bennett, Cullen, Green etc)

We have out Prater already, Matt Milton.

Well...his comments were made before Kippy Brown arrived.
I think getting Bissacia in here and Kiffin's pitch of "Hey look...you'll be coached by an ALL-NFL offensive staff" would tend carry more weight than "we'll yeah your position coach doesn't have any real WR coaching experience, but he's a smart guy and a damn good recruiter."

Kippy and Bisaccia represent major upgrades and it should start paying dividends right away. That's why I expect there to be a big surprise or two, come NSD.

If I were an Animation student hoping to eventually land a job at Disney, then I'd be ecstatic about be trained by former Disney artists in college. Not only do they know intimately what Disney expects and is looking for, but they have inside connections. You impress them, you just may have yourself a job at Disney when you graduate. Same thing goes here. These guys have connections to NFL teams that other teams simply do not have...thus the old cliche, "It's not necessarily WHAT you know, but WHO you know."

I would give us a chance. My guess is he'll visit UT. Remember he visited last summer when we really didnt have any on the field product to seel. His family loved it. His family is good friends with the Fulton's. Kippy is already made contact.... we'll see.
