Why would Prater even consider FL? That offense doen't play to his strengths, thier a spread offense and if his goal is to make it to the NFL, then FL is definetly NOT the place to go... or Bama. Bama and FL are were good recievers go to die.

Would be nice to have him but Ambles had a better game than Prater yesterday and Dixon cover him like stink on :censored: so whether he comes to UT or goes somewhere else, Im happy. We still have more recruits coming in and Im stoked to see what our staff does with the talent we have comin in. I still believe CUM will bail on Fla next year so they better enjoy this "golden" class while they can!! Our D is going to be stacked and I bet anything Monte will figure out covering the spread and wildcat offenses!

I really can't understand why everyone is so hung up on the game. Prater had AWESOME practices all week but when the news about CPC broke it it's obvious he took it hard. One game does not make or break a player.

Illinois is a bigger factor than most people think...iirc he is good friends w/ Corey Cooper the Illinois commit...

That has always been the case.... It didn't stop him from going to USC. I have a feeling this one is already done guys!!!!

Prater is going to be a VOL!!

Coaches know how to cover the spread. It is having the players to do it. Notice we are recruiting all DBs who can hit and tackle. You have to have 5-6 DBs who can all tackle well. We had Berry, Rogan, and Jackson last year. Myles maybe but he was hurt and not ready. 3-3-5 is the best D for it...we will play at some point down the line a DE/OLB and a LB/SS is my guess when we play spread teams. Maybe Myles and OLB and Smith at DE. Dixon and Jackson at safety then.

Monte knows how to cover the spread we need to get the players able to do it.

I am new to the volnation forum and have enjoyed reading the forums for this past year, so i thought i would join in the fun.
James Bryant at Scout just posted an article that Prater may visit Knoxville this week. He was to be an EE at USC. It seems like it is between us and Illinois. He states that when he spoke to Prater this morning that he made friends with Ambles and likes Kiffen. January 13is enrollment for spring semester. i believe there is a 1 week grace period. Lets hope we can get him to campus

3-3-5 is not the best way to attack the spread. the ONLY way to stop the spread is for the defensive lineman to get north and south and be in the backfield. the problem with defending the spread is that UT ended up reacting to the play almost every snap against it this year. the result is the dlineman getting moved laterally on the football field and creases being opened because of it. Monte gets a pass cuz of his name this year but or scheme against the spread has to get much better. IM also really disappointed with the way monte used berry this year.(not putting him in position to make plays) I hope they decide to keep janzen at FS cuz he will not make plays at the line of scrimmage.

To the point, i dont think we get prater but would love it. Prater is not a spread reciever, doesnt have the speed or agility. this staff is really gettin it done on the recruiting trail and have already compiled an impressive track record. go vols

Nope. Nope. Sorry, he had a bad game. He obviously will now do nothing but pump gas for the rest of his life. He might as well commit to USCe to get a head start.:tease2:

He is not CBK's type of player. I would watch out for Illinois.

that makes no sense.

I take it u never heard of WR Armon Binns, he was a Giant WR who played and thrived for the Bearcats?

BK also had WR Vidal Hazelton (USC transfer) who would have been eligible 2010 season
