Kyle Rittenhouse - The Truth in 11 Minutes

Honestly, this doesn't seem like the best case for advocates of open carry to point to, do you?
Should KR have allowed himself to be beaten, possibly to death? Is that your idea of a "fair" outcome in all of this. Open carry allowed him to protect himself from violence he didn't initiate, so it seems to have worked.

At least in this case the person in question had basically no other choice. (not eligible to carry and handgun) Only long guns were legal for him to carry.

In many places if those pieces of s*** were attacking someone else he could have shot them just the same. That would have made the looney libs heads explode.

I still don't understand people who have a problem with KR "being there" yet have no problem with the protesters "being there". Seems extremely hypocritical to pretend one side was somehow justified in being there, and one side was not. No one "needed" to be there. Both sides had the freedom to be there.
These are also the one saying it wasn't his property and he shouldn't be involved yet wanted everyone masked and vaxxed for thier safety

What is the point of having a constitutional right to bear arms if you must forego that right when traveling into dangerous areas or situations? People are saying Rittenhouse had no business bringing a weapon to Kenosha. Well what in the heck are weapons for? You aren’t going to need one (hopefully) at the church pot luck supper. But you better believe you might need one if traveling to a city experiencing riots on a nightly basis. What in the heck is a right to self sense worth if you can only use it in places where you are in no danger?

Will any of our liberal friends denounce those fanning the flames by claiming Kyle is a white supremacist? Zero evidence of that. Call these media people and politicians out for lies.

Well he did give the white power sign while posing for a photo with some Proud Boys at a bar where he was illegally drinking beer.

Flashing the white power sign for a photo with some Proud Boys is pretty damn incriminating.

I don’t actually believe that’s correct but even if so, what evidence is there that suggests any of the encounters were the fault of Rittenhouse?
You may well be correct. I’m really not trying to argue.

Again, not sure what legal hurdles need to be cleared in a Civil proceeding.

There may well be a higher hurdle to prove you did enough to “retreat”. I really don’t know.

@BowlBrother85 @RockyTop85 @ClearwaterVol anybody wanna weigh in?

you know Lebron James and virtually every basketball player has flashed that sign right? have you considered that it may not mean what you think?

and what on earth does illegally drinking beer have to do with anything

How could there be a higher burden that what we all saw? He ran from literally every person chasing him. I don’t see any possible angle.

That’s why it’s insane that it went to trial

Of his character, not his actions. The FBI tape seems to clearly show he was not the instigator. If he had never been threatened, he wouldn't have been justified in defending himself. You can dislike a person while still acknowledging the legality of their actions. Even ass holes have rights.

It was the white power sign. He may be an idiot, but not that big of one.

Girl at work that had no idea about anything about the case was arguing with people that he should go to jail "because he shot a guy". I had to keep myself from saying a snarky "pedophile shouldn't have been around anyway" comment.
