I know you can read. It is the interpretation of the author that it was a white supremacist hand sign. As has been demonstrated that is the least common use of that particular gesture.

Further there's this "...posed for photos with members of Proud Boys". It doesn't say he was there with them, or even hanging out with them. As written it sounds like they asked him for the photo.

Extremely thin (and apparently the only) gruel for applying such a derogatory label to someone but I guess that's how you roll.

I give Biden some credit. He at least didn’t completely undermine the jury and he said that violence and destruction of property have no place here. Good for him.

I have no idea what he meant and neither do you. Unlike you I'm not drawing grand and nefarious conclusions about a person I see a picture of.

I think the verdicts today were just. Even vigilantes have the right to defend themselves. I have no doubt that he will face civil suits, but the facts won't change. There were guns pointed at him, and he fired his weapon in defense of himself. I don't think he ever acted as the aggressor during the fatal exchanges, although some of his comments before the shootings were of a confrontational tone. I don't know enough about civil proceedings to discuss it intelligently, though. The burden of proof is lower than reasonable doubt. That's about all I can bring to the table on this one.
