You're wrong, and that has just been proved.A lot of ways I can respond here. Not all states use the MPC. For example Wisconsin SD law states: (1) …The actor may not intentionally use force which is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm unless the actor reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself.
Wisconsin Legislature: 939.48
Which is less of a hurdle to clear than the rule you listed. I’d argue the kid didn’t clear the hurdle under the MPC.
You can't explain it to someone like him. People like him think anybody attacking someone has the right to do so with no consequences, as long as they believe politically like him.A skateboard can kill, all it takes is one swing, coincidentally he swung it once. I'm curious to know how many swings before you defend yourself when attacked by a person with a skateboard you are attempting to retreat from?
Laughable comment^You can't explain it to someone like him. People like him think anybody attacking someone has the right to do so with no consequences, as long as they believe politically like him.
He was a scared little boy facing violent felon adults who wouldn’t think twice about killing him. Fortunately they died of lead poisoning before that happened. To kill an individual? A threat of equal force. The kids actions strike me as those of a scared little boy.
He didn't, that is verifiable in the video. Those who were not assaulting him and backed off he did not shoot, they were part of the mob chasing him and we're a threat, but they posed him no immediate danger so he again attempted to retreat.No. But it doesn’t give you the right to use it every time you feel threatened.
It is possible but not equal to the threat of a gun. In that instance, the second victim was trying to grab the gun after shots had already been fired. I don’t think his actions exactly equate to imminent threat. It is certainly possible that any blow from a skateboard to the head could be lethal. Do you honestly believe that a victim is able to determine when that blow might occur, and should therefor wait until right before that blow is struck before choosing to defend themselves?
IMO, Rittenhouse would have had to be beaten an inch away from death by the skateboard for the gun usage to be justified. The threat of a skateboard is not enough.
second victim? the attacker that tried to kick the accused skull into the asphalt or the attacker that tried to decapitate the accused with a 36" blade with wheels? It is possible but not equal to the threat of a gun. In that instance, the second victim was trying to grab the gun after shots had already been fired. I don’t think his actions exactly equate to imminent threat.
I agree that he acted like a scared little boy. Idk if the two people that were murdered would have really tried to kill him however. He was a scared little boy facing violent felon adults who wouldn’t think twice about killing him. Fortunately they died of lead poisoning before that happened.
BTW, equal force is BS. God created man but Samuel Colt made us equal.
