Very wrong in this case. Command issues along with a drop in velo late in the season have pushed him out of the money range he would have taken. That is the thought coming from those close to scouts

He was not signing. Unless he was top 15 he was going to UT.

Not disagreeing only saying he was pushing toward that mark. Without the late season "struggle" he may have gotten there.

Plus, it is also alot easier to say that you are only going for top 15 before you actually have a contract sitting in front of you with first round money being offered. I'll be much more comfortable with him coming here if he does in fact slide out of the first round

I feel it's safe he isn't a 1st rounder now. He's going to be a Vol and I am very confident of that.

You have to remember that in baseball kids are also drafted on their signability. Kyles is very low, the only way he is a first rounder is if some team absolutely loves him and is going to back the truck up. But the money restrictions have changed that

It's never good when a UT signee struggles. He will be at UT so hope ya feel good about wishing a kid fails

It has nothing to do with Kyle. If he had thrown three straight no hitters while sitting 94-95 I would've said that's bad for ut. His struggles and drop in draft stock are good for ut. He is going to be a really good pitcher for UT regardless what he does in state.

Keep up. Not hard.

I understand what your saying I am just saying that its not cool to be glad that he is by doing good, especially if He is coming for sure. Keep up not hard. You ask how do I know he is coming? Well I know just leave it there.

Just FYI... BA's newest draft stock report (1-500) has Kyle still at 35 where he was back when they also predicted him to be drafted at 27 overall.

They also have Godley at 487 overall.

Godley that low is a joke

Why? He's a full grown 23-year-old man with a lot of mileage on his arm. He's been a warrior for us, but the draft is about the future, and it's hard to project significant upside from where he is now.

I think he'd make a nice below-slot senior sign in rounds 6-10 for a team trying to free up bonus money for an earlier pick, but 487 is not a joke.

@DaveSerranoUT: Well it's been a long night but Im happy to say @SerranoK34 is going to be a Vol. His dream will happen in 3 years.
