'19 LA CB Devin Bush

Burrell in the boat, fishing for Bush, Hill, and Fields. Maybe some others, but those are the ones I know of. Id take em all if theres space. If it was me, Id take Bush and Hill, but I think the staff wants Fields almost as much as they wanted Burrell.
This aged well.... ;)

I was even thinking about that the second I heard he committed. But it’s true, they wanted from jump street. I’ve been holding out hope for Hill but with McCullough imminent I think Pruitt might get his cooler full before Hill gets in the boat.

Nah we will definitely take Hill and I wouldn't be surprised if he does something this week

I don’t believe so... I believe we take them all Bush, Hill, McCollough, and probably one more...

That makes me think about some other things then. Namely, they must be so pleased with Carbon that they are only taking 4 OL, so McBride is out. And WR is more of a priority for 2020.

who else besides those 3? If be ok with calling it with those 3 added to the haul at DB.

would like a WR or two, and however many DL we can get.

I'm just playing devil's advocate. We can't presume that this staff and a coach with zero head coaching experience are infallible all of the time.

I just think it's possible that maybe they have a lot of options and aren't sure who fits best.

Like I said, I hope your theory is the correct one.

Don't think not having been a head coach has much impact on your ability to evaluate and recruit players, coach 'em up, or most of what goes into getting a team ready to play. This staff has plenty of coaching experience. Where not having been a HC comes heavily into play is on game day plus having to deal with the media, administration, fans, big donors, all the off the field stuff. Pruitt was okay at his first SEC Media days event. His next big test comes in selecting a QB and then explaining to the media why and then of course how he game day coaches against the WVU. Volnation doesn't want to see us in shotgun on 1st and goal from the 1, talking about charts on two point conversion plays, or being Champions of anything but the SECE or SEC...um maybe a major bowl, I'm okay with Orange Bowl Champion :)
