Decided to give you your first like. Welcome aboard. This is the most important target left on the board in my opinion. This would be our highest rated pure CB prospect since 2016 if you even count Tyler Byrd…take him out and you have to go all the way back to Eric Berry. Pretty eye opening actually to see how pathetic we’ve been at recruiting corners since Fulmer.
-VQTennessee will have to survive the weekend with their top couple of corner targets on the board. Jordan Matthews spent Thursday in Austin, Texas visiting the Longhorns. This is a two team race and Texas is getting the last in-person visit before a mid-August decision. Matthews has really been feeling Tennessee the last few weeks and has had great dialogue with the staff and fellow recruits. Texas will roll out the red carpet so it will be interesting to see how things feel coming out of this trip.
Sounds like he gave them a verbal on that visit, unless their mod is just a major homer. Sucks. Was hoping for this kid.Baton Rouge Woodlawn CB Jordan Matthews had nothing but positives to say after his visit and emphasized that this was his fourth time in Austin. The four-star corner said he planned to move up his commitment date to sometime in the near future. I love where Texas sits in this recruitment and a ton of credit needs to be given to Terry Joseph, Brandon Harris and the pair of five-star Louisiana natives if the Horns can grab Matthews’ verbal pledge.
