I think that is the point of people who aren't exactly freaked out, just yet. Many people are reading these lines from the Texas writer in the same frame of mind as if AP said it. We understand the lingo of our own writers and the hidden meaning when they say a certain phrase. People seem to be attributing that same level of coded meaning to a writer we are completely unfamiliar with, who may just be blowing smoke for clicks.

I sure hope the post visit high wears off quickly and weighs everything out between the real UT and our wannabe stepchild. he may end up comitting to Texas but nothing in that write up leads me to believe he has.

Because he spoke well of another school? You realize no recruit ever says “man, that visit sucked”. Cam Seldon barely said anything good after his visit to UT and he committed. Yet Maliek Benson sounded like he was in love with us and went to Bama. Take the interviews with a grain of salt

Baton Rouge Woodlawn CB Jordan Matthews had nothing but positives to say after his visit and emphasized that this was his fourth time in Austin. The four-star corner said he planned to move up his commitment date to sometime in the near future. I love where Texas sits in this recruitment and a ton of credit needs to be given to Terry Joseph, Brandon Harris and the pair of five-star Louisiana natives if the Horns can grab Matthews’ verbal pledge.
