Don't get me wrong, I'm so glad that we are swinging for the fences on these recruits but teams don't just pull 5-star defensive tackles away from Louisiana. If our staff pulls this one off, I will never doubt their ability to get anyone ever again.
Teams just don’t pull 5 star LBs away from Miami and UF either. Or 5 star Polynesian LBs away from Oregon and USC. Or or or. List goes on

It is so important we get off to a good start this yr! Beat OU and or Fla and we keep our current commits and have a chance w this guy.
This year may be our most important in a really long time..

I think we can keep our current commits even with a loss in both games. The recruits know the big picture.

As long as we don't have a disastrous season, 5 or less wins, we will be ok

Him & Foreman would be one heck of a duo. Put them with the Evans, Washington and the rest and turn them loose!

Last cycle there were a bunch of guys in "wait and see" mode. This year we already have the alphas from some of the best programs in the country. They already know that they can compete against anybody. Now they are peer recruiting others just like them. They feel like their class alone will put UT back on top. This is very different than last year. Plus, CJP always closes strong. there may be 7-8 kids processed from this class for much more talented recruits in the end.

The OU game will be interesting. Our defenses should be pretty good and if we have good QB okay we could walk out with a W. OU’s defense isn’t great and that will be Spencer Rattlers 2nd start and 1st big time game
OU does struggle against good defenses. They‘ve crumbled in the playoff against real talent (granted we’re not on that level yet...) but they’ve also run into hiccups against well coached teams like KSU, ISU, BU last couple years. We’ve got a shot there for sure, especially with them breaking in a new QB.

Our D line will really help our younger LB group. Middleton Gooden Solomon Emerson will free up To’oto’to Crouch D Johnson and Bennett to do what they need to do. Rewatched the bowl game the other day and both Deandre Johnson and Kivon are players

Agree. Kivon was fantastic for us down the stretch, totally underrated. Harrison with another year at the position will be great as well. Defense gonna be even more nasty next year.

This is a name I was told about and those names associated with him are real possibilities too. It’s still early and Jimmy B and Nieds are one helluva combo. These guys are making it easy Fulmer style for Ansley and Pruitt to just be closers. Guys this could be the beginning of something very beautiful. I can honestly say that when my phone rings from 865 I answer quick as to in the past I’d ignore or be hesitant. It’s a damn rock ad roll show in Knoxville and we hv a crazy working HC and staff who cares about restoring to Big Orange brand.

CJP is gonna dial up pressure and tee off on that young QB all night. I think we win that game in Norman if our offense plays decent.

To me, this post sums up where we are headed as a team. I have no clue who De1 is, but he has been very critical of our staff in the past and this is a major change of heart.

he's at NPA Nashville, and yeah, he was not a fan of CBJ and co.....and now, we all know why......this staff isn't that staff.

i mean, if we got Mondon, this kid, foreman etc....that'd be like Clemson 2019 level 5* hit rate....5 of them? lol. that'd be crazy.

i don't see that happening....but i like that we're swimming in these waters....
We'd be swimming in the waters with the BIG FISH (5*) ain't it GREAT!

NPA guy that has connections all over, not as many deep roots within the UTAD but more of a players insider, and guides them to make good decisions for their future.

If you see past the aggression, de1 actually is good people and gives us some real truth.

Watch him roast me if I misspoke at any one bullet item.

I was fine with CBJ and his staff until I read through the fake bologna. The coaching was failing the kids, he was dogging out kids and lying on them. It was just a case of a mid major guy whom of which was in over his head. He was more into using recruiting sites versus truly evaluating talent. A lot of bush league tactics and almost cost our organization a lot of money. Last when a few players wanted to leave early he bashed them costing them their draft rating to drop drastically. I can go on and on but I won’t. We still sent him top rated kids only for them to be laughed at and under coached. Tell me how Kamari, Kyle Phillips and Shy Tuttle are better in the NFL than at UT? Poor coaching poor game planning and so on.
