‘23 LA QB Arch Manning (Texas commit)

The Manning’s will direct this young man the way they directed the last generation of Manning’s:

Go where you feel most comfortable and we will support you. (Archie caught a ton of 💩 for Peytons decision and fought for his decision)

Archie received death threats when Peyton came here. Surely OM fans aren’t still that dumb.

The other two went to the best QB coach they could find. I'm guessing this one will too. I'm pretty sure Eli would have gone to Duke if Cut had been there at the time.

Given the Manning history of making business decisions for development. I think Arch could end up at Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley has 3 QBs on NFL rosters currently getting playing time.

Neither Ole Miss nor Tennessee were QB factories when any of the Manning’s were making business decisions.

No not at all, but they trusted Cutcliffe’s plan for development. Arch can probably make the NFL from anywhere, but they’ll like the QB development track record riley has to offer. I think OU will at least be in the running, but I also expect this to be the quietest recruitment of all time

The Manning’s also are about relationships...and they have none with Oklahoma or Riley. Way outside looking in on this one imo.

Tennessee football: Peyton Manning still mad at Trevor Lawrence for going to Clemson over Vols

Tennessee football: Peyton Manning still mad at Trevor Lawrence for going to Clemson over Vols

"...Speaking with Gene Sapakoff from The Post and Courier, Manning thinks if Lawrence really wanted to pay tribute to him, going to Tennessee would have been the fitting gesture, not just wearing his old college number.
“I kind of heard that Trevor wore No. 16 at Clemson because he enjoyed watching me at Tennessee,” Manning, 44, said by phone. “I said to Trevor, ‘I think it would have been a nicer tribute if you had gone to the same college that I went to.’”"

Don't stress too hard over Simpson today folks. When Arch sees our offense, and Peyton tells him about Sam Bradford and Drew Lock... We'll have our QB of the future.

I don't know exactly that we weren't either given Shuler was getting drafted right around this time.

I have this sick feeling it will end up being Alabama.

I hope he steps outside the SEC so we do not have to face him. Maybe Texas.
I don’t think he goes to Bama. I think outside of Mississippi State, Bama is the only where the Manning’s would actually put their foot down and say no.

A “factory” is one that had just happened? If Heath had followed Jeff Francis and Andy Kelly as first or second day draft picks, I could see your point...but he didn’t.

Well that is a sensational headline, good lord.

If there is any school the Manning's would steer him away from it is Bama. There was a story about Archie back in the day having some bad experiences or something when playing against them and Peyton had mentioned it was really fun to beat Bama while he was at UT so his Dad could see it. I want to say Peyton also said those were the sweetest victories or something.

Don't get me wrong...I think if Arch chose Bama he would still get the same family support. I just think that despite the crazy success and guaranteed NFL pipeline, it might not be appealing to him. Arch is just about the closest thing there is at this point in his career to being surefire NFL prospect. The Mannings tend to leave legacies wherever they go and it is impossible at this point to make one at Bama - he would just be another wheel in the machine.

Too much offensive turnover at Bama for Arch. They don't develop QBs well enough. They generally look great because of the talent around them. That's why there's so few NFL QBs from Bama but an absurd amount of Bama players at every other position.

Has Alabama ever produced a truly elite QB in the NFL? And I mean ever.

All this talk is gibberish! Only thing we should be concerned with is if CJH can implement his offense here for the coming season. If we sling it around and have a QB getting it done, it will show UT can develop QB’s, cause we will have gone 0-100 overnight and just maybe...maybe we will have the ammo to lure Arch here 🤞
