'19 LA QB Lance LeGendre

Kansas scored a huge commitment from the four-star quarterback out of New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton Senior during the offseason, but Legendre was only briefly committed to the Jayhawks before reopening his recruitment ahead of his senior season. Top programs pounced. Ranked as the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback in the class, Legendre is the highest-ranked player at his position who has not signed and only one of the top 20 at dual-threat who haven’t closed things down. Florida State seems like the far-and-away leader to land his commitment leading up to National Signing Day in February, but Tennessee and Missouri are not giving up, either.

especially with Howell flipping to UNC Mack Brown
Odd thing about that....... LL doesn’t have the arm/accuracy of Howell, but fits the FSU offense better. He better sign and flourish, because the qb room in Tallahassee is barren.

Rivals 4-star quarterback Lance LeGendre tells me that his two official visits for the month of January will be to Tennessee (Jan. 18) and Florida State (Jan 25). He is expected to make a decision soon after his final official visit on National Signing Day on Feb. 6.
The top uncommitted quarterback from Louisiana has been courted by several Power 5 program over the past two years, but the Vols and Florida State have separated themselves this fall. The quiet 4-star from Warren Easton in New Orleans most recently made a visit to Florida State before his senior year.

LeGendre was a one-time Kansas verbal, but opened up his recruitment ahead of his senior season. Florida State is the only known visit he has made besides Lawrence, Kan.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder has kept things very close to the vest, and both the Tennessee and Florida State staffs have remained squarely in the picture. Per sources, the ‘Noles are the quiet leader in the clubhouse.

Come visit Knoxville, go back and tell all your HS teammates how great of a time you had here. Nothing more

He looks like a pretty good passer and a solid athlete. I'd be willing to bet either Maurer or Shrout leaves once Bailey arrives. He'll likely end up at Florida State, but with Richmond and Wolf likely transferring I don't see why they wouldn't take him since there will likely be a spot open. At best say we finish with Wright, To'oto'o, Bogle, and 1 to 3 of Jay, Moore, Hill, Robinson, Cox, or Russell and we lose Harris. If there's a slot open why not take him? If it doesn't work out at QB maybe he can play safety. Now if they can finish with Wright, To'oto'o, Hill, Moore, and flip Bogle and Jay they don't take him, but if it's something like Wright, To'oto'o, Cox, Russell, and Robinson and we lose Harris why not give him the final spot if he wants it?

FSU is in dire need of someone to run Slick Willie’s “gulf coast.” They got a DT transfer from UL, but LL seems to be a better option. Most of my friends in Tallahassee think he’s all set to sign. Who knows?

I’ve heard him mentioned as a guy that could succeed at multiple positions. May be recruited by some as an ATH rather than QB. Go take a look at how many Vol WRs and DBs were QB recruits in the 80-90s. I think it was Tony Robinson’s class that had like 6 QBs in it. They all showed up to compete for the job but he was obviously the superior passer. The other 5, including Charles Davis, got shuffled around to other skill positions. Foundation of the Sugar Vols.

Imma think it's hilarious when/if Maurer turns out to be a beast and upsets everybody's QB plans. The kid has talent and moxie, and played for a team like Dooleys last Vols team. He is my darkhorse, and I think Bailey will have to be Tua or Trevor good to unseat him once Chaney gets ahold if him.

I really like him and hope he succeeds.
