Lady Vols Basketball Future

I don't see RJ staying, or Horston staying. That being said we will be solid in the post if TK returns along with Striplin and Holinshed. We need a couple of wing players and two scoring guards and a point guard who is not a turnover waiting to happen. I look for Tennessee to look for their needs in the portal and JUCO.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear one day that Tamari's mother lobbied hard to get her eldest back in the nest to keep a close eye on her while she continues on the road to full recovery.

But oh my goodness you are right, what a HUGE difference a return of Key would make for next season! I also wonder if Tamari would even want to still be in college another year when her absolute best friends have left.

Crap. Growing up is hard, and sometimes it hurts like hell.

If Rickea and Jordan leave, we will need atleast 3 top players to come in the transfer portal to be competitive. I would say a top Pg, Sg, and a Sf that are athletic and create their own shot.

Don’t over value Tk, she may get some blocks because of her height but she doesn’t play tall at all, and also has a hard tile catching passes, if u don’t believe me, go watch some games back and get back to me.

Each SEC womens basketball team has 13 players. Today at the UT LV game, they honored 6 graduating players. With those gone that will leave us with only 7 players from the current team. Out of the last 2 HoopsGurlz national lists, the Lady Vols only had one commitment player and she presently sits on the bench and rarely plays more than 2 or 3 minutes or so. With that said, where are the Lady Vols going to get the players to replace them? Three of those 6 graduating players are really the heart of our team. When Pat Summit was the coach, she reached a situation where she needed some immediate help. She went to the Junior College ranks and selected two players and ended up winning two national championships with them. What are your feelings for the future Lady Vols?
Very, very bleak.

I believe our future looks bright. We may still have JH, RJ, and TK for another year. I love all the lady Vol’s. I believe we will have a great run in the SEC tournament and the big dance also. As always go Lady Vol’s.
Would be nice bc the shelve looks bare.

Yes by this time quietly those entering portal are out there and after season you will know them. There will be some outstanding college players available who know the Tennessee Roster next year. I do believe Key will be back as she wants a chance to play in the league so she needs another year of College and Powell is coming back. I hope we can find a guard who is quick but is a scorer from all parts of the court. Great discussion. In CHRIST Alone
Look at those SC guards and Vandy's they can blow by you and can score on you at any time.

I think there's a very good chance that Rickea returns...

Amen!

For a top 5 draft pick, we'd probably need divine intervention. Not likely.

But then again, she's likely to be a top 5 draft pick next year, too, so who knows? Maybe she's really, really enjoying the Lady Vol experience and isn't ready for it to end. (It would be wrong for me to waste a prayer that might be better said for something really, really important, right? lol)

She may just want to win a Natty, and, college, is the only place to do that
Se may want to be the next Chamique/Tamika/Candace/????tbd
RJ and JH could become as legendary as the three meeks...
There is a lot of reason for her to think about staying

Unless she's the #1 pick that gets the $100K bonus, the maximum rookie salary is $70K. NIL $$ could top that.
