That’s closer than I expected being that she is going to Baylor this weekend... it either means she has confirmed her thoughts on what school she thought was the one for her or she either knew she wanted to go to Baylor and didn’t get that warm and fuzzy feeling from the other schools. She be an exciting next few days to say the least.

While I agree with your possible scenarios, I think that, if she had eliminated every school other than Baylor, there would really be no reason to delay announcement of a commitment at this point. So, my thought would be that your first thought is the more likely one.

Keeping the fingers crossed. I've wanted DeCosta in Lady Vol orange and white ever since I saw her during the U17 competition this past year!

Do you guys think her decision has been made and she has already informed the staff or that it just means thats when she is announcing and she will inform the staff sometime between now and then? Kids dont usually do an announcement without letting the school know right?

My feelings:
1. This bodes well for UT (and USC, Louis, South Car) to get Decosta, not Baylor. One, if it were Baylor, I'd think she wouldn't set a date to announce, but rather announce at Baylor (Baylor has two commits - both 3/4 type players already). Saying she is ready to announce right after UT visit says a lot to me as well - either take away, she knows where she is going, and it makes sense that it's a place she has already visited.
2. Decosta and Williams had two official weekends together, better believe they talked on what they are thinking. I don't think one's decision will at all affect the others. They still could end up at the same place - but it's not due to the other. Decosta is choosing a place that she loves, regardless of Williams.

With Tennessee in the past ... some of our kids have committed to the coach's while here and asked that the coach's stay quiet. Rennia Davis comes to mind as the most recent. Raider could speak more on this subject of past players.

I hope we get her as she will be a difference maker. I hope we also get another big who will be able to contribute in the post immediately to go along with Collins and the upper classwomen.

I don't think we get another big until 2019, unless the coaches pick up a JUCO player.

What's up lady vol fans!

As far as recent recruiting goes, in my honest opinion I think UT will get Decosta. It just feels like that's where she's headed but we'll see. I believe that SC will land Williams & Nelson-Ododa or at least we have a good shot at both. At the end of the day both UT & SC will end up with very nice 2018 recruiting classes. That's all we can ask for. Let's see how the chips fall! I'll be tuned in October 10th when Decosta makes her decision.

and Staley runs back to UVa after this year.

OR, SC could get Williams, Decosta AND Nelson-Ododa in addition to Henderson. That would be the #1 class with 4 top 10 commits.

Highly unlikely but possible.

And Geno would still probably find a way to beat them, even with that talent.

As far as post players go, I am wondering if the Australian post player will even want to go to school in the US.

I think it's a three horse race between Tennessee, Louisville, and South Carolina for DeCosta. I know what my gut says, but my gut has been wrong before and will be wrong again. I hope she comes to Tennessee.

I think Williams is going to Texas.

From judging her twitter she seems to retweet more Lady vol fans begging her to join rocky top than any other college. The most recent was october 2nd for SC though but all the rest of the retweets are for UT. #Praying

Could you give percentages you think we'd land who's left that we are after?

My gut (and I don't have inside info like you have but I was right on the 4 we landed last year only ones I missed on were Dodson and Patterson) is as follows;

Williams-35 %
DeCosta-85 %
Burrell-75%

Those are the only 3 I know for sure that we are still after I know Ezi has been talked about as well as Doumbia but I don't know where we stand with any of them.
