Lady Vols Recruiting Info

Tennessee was a major player until Law left. Losing her cost us Williams and DeCosta, although I don’t think Williams was coming her either way.

Hey Raider!

Do you know if we have any interest in 6’6” Post Stephanie Soares out of Texas?

She hasn’t released any schools as of yet and from what I heard and been able to gather she probably wont commit until the spring!

She’s currently ranked in the Top 60 for the 2018 class and could be a steal!

From what I’ve heard, Kansas is still in the mix for Green, but she will announce this week. She isn’t visiting TAMU or Georgia.

Visit went very well.

I think if she was satisfied with Kansas she would have stayed there. I feel like she is ours, however until the fax lady sings anything is possible with kids now days!

I have big hopes that we get Green or Burrell or both. We really needed a center this class if we get one will have to be a juco or a five year transfer.

I am hoping Assistant Reaves is on players that may have fell under the radar. It would have to be her or one of the other Assistants Holly is totally clueless about these players and also JUCOS.
Anybody got any recruits in juco you want to make them aware of do it on twitter. I kept Green on Laws page twice a week back when she was a juco senior. They may have already been onto her but I wanted to make them award in case they didn't have her on the radar.

Seems like a good question....

I researched and discovered this article:

Soares sisters provide more than height for Mount Baker | Sports | lyndentribune.com

To save you some reading, apparently her 6-4 older sister Jessica followed in her older brother's footsteps last year by attending The Master's University in Santa Clarita, CA. It appears to be an NAIA school. Maybe there's a tradition there that won't be interrupted...??? Surely the coaches are familiar with her. Hoopgurlz gives her a rather glowing endorsement as a prospect.

You are the one who is clueless. They have a room called “the war room” where players are on a huge grid on the wall, including JUCO players. They (meaning all the coaches) are in the war room daily discussing the players they are watching, recruiting, making offers to, etc. Holly Warlick is very much in the loop and part of this process, so please hush and have a seat.

Like she is in the loop on the floor coaching or taking care of problem players on the team. That kind of being in the loop. Most here know Holly is clueless in a lot of areas when it comes to basketball you forget we've seen her coach. We've seen her give interviews. We've heard about the problems that she didn't correct.
Holly may be the only coach to give up a 10 point lead with a minute and 15 seconds left in the game at Texas A&M. I think your argument is weak about Holly being in any kind of loop.

I think your argument is weak because you are clearly only here to bash HW in every post you make. It’s real easy to criticize when you are watching on tv or sitting in the stands. Maybe you should find another team to follow. To suggest she is not involved in recruiting or doesn’t know and follow players is absurd. I’m not saying that because I think it, but because I know it.

I don't bash her on every post I make. I only bash what I see on the court and in interviews. Maybe you should find another team to follow or mind your own business about other people's observations. I think she follows recruiting when it comes to the top players but unless an Assistant brings up a transfer or a juco she didn't know they existed.
Usually what you see is what you get even though I still support her she is definitely at a crossroads year this season when it comes to on court play and coaching the team.
I will continue to have my own opinions about this program it is my right to have opinions. If you don't like them this site has conveniently given you an ignore button that is what you should use if your not happy with my posts.

Was this player a juco or a player under the radar. I said nothing about top players on the board.

Your point taken.... Thus the imoge of thought! But that one parent was more than satisfied and spoke positively about Holly????

I don’t know the lady (Holly or Parent) just my opinion and what I heard! Maybe you are closer to Holly and the coaches and their procedures in recruitment. I don’t have that insight.

I was talking to another poster about how were always late to the game when it comes to jucos and transfers. I totally agree that she is up on the top 50 players. I never said she was not and I'm sure she relates with any recruit and their parents once she gets locked in on them.
My total point was that were slow to get involved with transfers or jucos we always come in late.
Even with Green Rutgers was a player before us however Law got the job done for Tennessee with her.
