What was her pitch count yesterday? We don't know what " that high is either' or if she is on a pitch count total either.

Ok and now she is at 49 I think. She can go to 120 today I would think.

Osoria for bama went to 189 two nights ago in that extra inning game she lost. Struck out 19 and walked 10 I think it was.

With Matty when she is done she loses the ability to locate her pitches...so it's likely less of a pitch count thing and more of watching her location.

Karen said they like to keep Matty below 140 a game and alternate games to manage the pitch count for both pitchers. Matty pitched 123 or so yesterday. It's possible she'll pitch a complete game today, but I'm guessing they'd rather rest her some with the SECT this week.

If it were my decision to make, I'd let Matty go through the 4th for sure and maybe the 5th if she's still strong, then think about Morrison for an inning or two, followed by Caylan or bring Matty back. Morrison is a hard thrower and brings a whole different look from what the Aggies are used to. Might work. :yes:

I may be wrong but I still think unless we get a big lead or tied up Matty will continue. Karen knows what she is talking about but I still see them hanging with her because to me today is as much important as the tourney wins.JMHO

She did not look so great earlier in the series.

Yep. Here comes Arnold. I thought Matty might go 4 innings, but she was becoming less efficient. She might come back if Arnold struggles.

I think were needing to score some more runs to win today so I hope our bats aren't going in the deep freeze.

You know if matty is our best pitcher and most think she is and she is on a small pitch count on alternate days why in the hello do that not start her in the first game of the series. Makes starting Arnold Friday look that much dumber to me.

We have to keep the offense going. IDT we can sit on this lead and rely on pitching to win.

So glad for Seggern! Finally got a hit with all her friends and family there this weekend. They have been really loud!
