Man winning the series against Bama with their two pitchers is just awesome for this group! Won't see a better staff with stuff until Florida

Right now our staff ERA vs their staff ERA is virtually even. I think they got us by less than a tenth of a point.

Another H-U-G-E win--tip of the cap to Vines for her clutch hit and same to Moss. That's two straight big-time pitching performances, and two big-game winning hits. Thought we'd hit better tonight. Even though we all know hits are going to be hard to come by against these elite pitchers, we've got to hit better. We'll be the visiting team in some tough upcoming games and won't have the last at-bat advantage, so need to dial in at the plate. The bama coach was pissed after the game--yelling at his team. Since they are still here, let's go out and beat them a third time.

WTF?? Bama played an excellent game & coach is blasting his team.....what a moron!! He should've waited until they were back at the team's hotel or under the stands & away from the fans & camera. I thought that was really low & uncalled for him to blast his team like that in public view.

Trying to motivate his team. It's big time college athletics. Not sure why it was low. He wasn't threatening anyone or doing anything that unusual.

Probably did the old bad news bears thing. Watch them celebrate and let it sink in. Bama is used to beating us in football and girls basketball. Not this weekend! GLV!!

Ralph says in the SEC it's pitching, hitting, and defense in that order. For the Tennessee Vols the first two wins have proved that. It's been pitching first and then hitting second. As good as Arnold was last night Moss was at least as good tonight.

Ah yes, the old get fired up motivator speech. Bama coach was probably saying crap like....We are Bama & we don't lose to scum bottom feeder teams like TN. Y'all should hold your heads in total shame for losing to a scum team like TN bc we are so much better than them.....& more blah blah blah stuff ya know.

I don't get worked up about those things as long as he isn't abusing his players, which he has been coaching there a long time. Not sure why this is a big deal. But I am sure you were listening in. Can't believe I am even defending a Bammer coach, but by all accounts, even on this site, he is a good guy. He even posted a picture of his team in front of Pat's statue paying respects to her.

Me either. Anyone who has coached HS or above and has fire has done the same thing. If he was saying they did not get the job done when they should have then he was right. They will be hell bent to win tomorrow and we will be in for a fight.:thud::thud:

No doubt in my mind that he's a good SEC coach but in my opinion I thought he should have waited until they were back at the hotel & in a private place to talk to his team the way that he did. He's the coach & I guess he knows best for his team.

the pink elephant coach is fuming for obvious reasons: they had a 2-run lead last night heading into the 6th with one of the country's best pitchers on the mound---and lost. And then tonight they had the better scoring opportunities in another tight, well-pitched game and they lose it in the 7th. bama tears are our nectar (I kid........you not), and we can only hope to crank his misery level up another notch tomorrow. We need another great pitching performance. I imagine the first-game pitchers will be back on the hill. A sweep would be super-sweet.

Murphy is mad at his team because they had multiple opportunities to score tonight and couldn't get a hit....just trying to light a fire under some of them....expect a dogfight tomorrow night....my guess is Littlejohn will start for Bama who starts for us I have no idea...a part of me wants to see Morrison because she is a drop ball pitcher and Bama is struggling on offense right now as they have all season

On another note if I were to take a guess will probably see Vines at DP, Rowland at 1st, and Holcomb in LF tomorrow night....McSwain is to me going through one of her swings right now....would also love to see if Weimer can get the start at catcher too

First two games have been awesome. I just looked at the standings and cant believe every team has an overall winning record. Says a lot for the SEC.

I believe we will see the same lineup and Arnold will start. Matty threw a lot of pitches, Ralph does not have the confidence in Morrison and against SEC teams I don't either. JMHO:thud::thud:
