Just watching games LSU got caught using too many slappers and Ucla to some extend. When it is working it will give you some baserunners and when it does not which is most of the time it leads to some easy quick innings. Ucla won on two homers but their offense won't stay with OK even with their great pitching. Ucla probably gets sent home without the two solo homers. The disappearing box mystery was partially solved last night as at least two Ucla slappers turn their foot sideways and wiped out the front and back of the box and the Ump just stood there and watched them. Literally sweeping the line out like it was some batting ritual. Think we would get away with that?
Just watching games any number of home runs in these parks with shorter walls would hit the top of the wall at UT. We have some of the highest fences it would appear.
you can check on the roster. She’s on scholarship. I think close to a full. She was a star all American in highschool. Pretty insane player.
But no one believes them unfortunately....unless you have witnessed the treatment up close and personal...what they say is blown off as a disgruntled player who didn’t get what they wanted.
These kids have played for the hardest coaches in the nation for travel....you think college is any different? Then why do they all transfer? It’s mentally hell from what I’ve heard. They make it personal. It has nothing to do with how the kids preform. They break so many promise that it is ridiculousIn that case I guess UT has more "disgruntled players (and parents)" than any major program. If they would stop over-recruiting that would remedy some of it, as well.
I also remember Brooke Langston, who was told just before Fall ball that her scholarship wasn't going to be renewed. Imagine telling your players that after they've already enrolled for the semester, instead of at the end of the previous season to allow them to explore options before the Fall semester starts.
She was a late signee and was playing in the junior olympics when they all went on their visit I think that’s what was posted to explainCan't find where she was an AA but I do see she was all-state.
I assumed she was a walk-on because I never saw an announcement of her on the UT site, but I could've missed it because it looks like she signed during the late signing period.
And that’s the sad reality that the program has come to. Rather than fixing their coaching and treatment of players they just brush it off and sweep it under the rug and move on to the next player. Horrible treatment of the players in my opinion. But no one believes them unfortunately....unless you have witnessed the treatment up close and personal...what they say is blown off as a disgruntled player who didn’t get what they wanted.
Especially when it comes to recruiting, if you’re not from California you’re pretty much expendable unless you can produce top numbers. One long term charge against the coaches is that they play favorites not tied in to production. How Parsons stayed at 2B so long and then came back later in the season to make crucial errors is beyond me.
