makes ya wonder how the old 'Bama, FSU, Oklahoma, UCLA coaches ever manage to win a game, don't it? --- since none of them are exactly balls of energy

Patrick Murphy is definitely energetic and Tuscaloosa is one of the most energetic ballparks in the country, so I'm not sure why you put him in that category. WTBS, all those programs consistently win their conferences and get to OKC so that is a good start in terms of getting energetic fan bases. Gasso doesn't have to be energetic with four NC rings and the WCWS in her own backyard. That's what gets her top 3 recruiting classes basically ever year and the winning comes from that. OU went through a long dry spell after their NC in 2000 of not making it to OKC and having a lot of success. They got bounced several times prior to 2011 in the regionals and supers when they shouldn't have. Then she got the Ricketts/Gasgoine/Schults class, and then she got Chamberlain in the following class who wound up being the best power hitter in college softball history. Getting Pendley who transferred from Arizona didn't hurt, either. Honestly it's very similar to what ND went through in WBB after their NC in 2001. They got Diggins, started beating UConn, and finally made it back to the FF and it all changed back in their favor.

Wonder if JMU will try to get 3-4 innings out of Humphrey tonight? Doubt that Odicci has 7 more innings in the tank, but who knows?

Not sure about that. Murphy shows emotion, has fun and gets tossed if he needs to go to bat for his girls.

Just saw where Lu retired at Georgia maybe that’s why they had that run in them. A number of the older coaches are getting out of the game.

called leaving early on FSU --- frankly, I was waiting for them to call that against Oklahoma, the way they were rocketing around the bases

Oh thunderstorm, shock. Instead of complaining about all these late games and the unfairness of it to women and teams maybe move the Wcws to somewhere it doesn’t storm everyday this time of year. Just a thought.
