They seem to be a lot like Creighton can't let them get that three going. We just got to stop their game from the three point line and hope Izzy can protect the basket when they drive.

This is as stoked as I have been for a game in years. I hope Simmons is not as hyped up as I am.

I guess having no success in any major sport in a long time, and the Lady Vols being in my top two along with UT football has really put an edge on the hunger for a big win. This group of girls have been through a lot and I would really like to see them earn a trip to the final four and championship game.

Ya, TN needs to be composed and approach this game with a business mentality. The emotional intensity of this Shoni chick CANNOT be underestimated, and the sheer energy and raw emotion of Louisville is what got them the win (but almost also made them lose)....


....and of course the 3 pt'rs which I'd be suprised to see them recreate.

I feel good about our chances tonight. If Louisville shoots like they did against Baylor they will deserve to win.

I think we can defend the three...we did against Creighton.

Williams and Simmons big tonight.

Simmons and Spani with their usual big-game choke jobs. Good grief: I've never seen two players wilt under pressure like those two.

It's amazing how much this team is like the men mentally. They see a zone and miss a few shots and it's like they've never played basketball before. Simmons doesn't deserve to be an All-American. I don't think I've ever seen her play well in a really big game against a good defensive opponent - not just scoring either. She loses total focus.
What's so sad about this is that its obvious Louisville wants it so much more.

One big issue is this team does not have a leader. Big problem. When you are Playing well you don't need a leader. It's when you are rattled and not playing well that leadership is key. Williams is the closest we have.

Agreed. This team is at their best when Williams is leading the show, however she doesn't seem to be the type to put the team on her back consistently where Simmons wants to do it all. I think Holly has done a great job, but some of this is on her. Warlick needs to put Simmons on the end of the bench in games like this and run the entire offense through Williams - every possession. Regardless of Simmons, though, the entire effort is awful. The perimeter defense hasn't been bad. Take away the 2nd chance points and this game is a lot closer. Rebounding is effort - it's just not there. That's inexcusable.
