Man, is women's basketball tough to watch or what? That layup Anosike missed right before the put-back says it all. But still ... proud of them. At least we have the best layup-missers in the land.
The Stanford game can't be as ugly as this. There's just no way. And Stanford plays pretty heady bb and shoots pretty well too. I don't think they have team speed to stay with Bobbitt and Hornbuckle. Wiggins can't guard everyone.
I'm giving some credit to Pat. She made sure those players were down in the paint just in case they collapsed on Candace. Nice play call and execution.
Women's bb is tough to watch if you compare it to men's hoops. Pretend it is a different sport. Every rebound is a 50-50 ball, layups are as hard to make as are wide-open three pointers.

I mean, that is it right there. Everyone in the stadium and everyone watching on TV thought that the ball was going to stay in Candace's hand and she was going to have her career in her hands as to whether or not she plays for another championship.
Glad that is over. Women's basketball is excruciating to watch when both teams are so defensive-minded. Stanford actually tries to play well, instead of trying to make the other team play even worse than they do.
Almost as happy that Geno isn't going to be there as I am that UT made it.
Great game Lady Vols. And great for my bracket, I correctly picked both teams in the championship game, which seals up my victory in the family pool!! Another round of Rocky Top for a Vol in Oregon, please!!
I'll go for Geno sitting at home. That adds insult to injury. Now I can watch the game Tuesday and not get too worked up. Sure we don't want to lose, but at least it wouldn't be to Geno. That's like losing to Florida in football.
